I really think Romney and Ryan can start the turn in a better direction, then we take it from there.

Look how long it took the Progressives to get here, it's going to take some time to deprogram their followers...

It always amazes me how people endorse Romney and believe his BS without looking at his track record of lying. The guy is a proven liar who will say anything to anyone at any time to appease them. He has nothing for America but more of the same. he is no different then Obama except in appearance.

Please do some study and research and actually take some "time to think" it through!

It will be a disaster for us.....4 more years of the traitor...we can't survive it!!!!!

Please....stand together!!!!

Jesus...did you learn nothing from the OP? What..did you just skip it? The OP came to the realization that Romney was not the answer, it was just more of the same B.S.

HE REALIZED there is NO difference between Obama and Romney. And he is RIGHT to come to that realization.

Stand together behind what? NDAA? More bailouts? I have and continue to put a lot of thought into this vote.

I get your point, bro, but I just don’t see what I’m voting for here. A good friend once gave me advice. He said, “When you make an important decision to change something ask yourself are you running towards something or away from something. If you’re running away rather than towards something then stay put.”

Voting for Romney, for me, is akin to running away from (or voting against) Obama. I don’t think the grass will be much greener on the other side.

We only have 3 months, we can't change the country right now...baby steps, Seabag, that's all we have right now.....don't let that traitor ruin our country for 4 more years.

I definitely don’t want 4 more years of Obama….I’m just having a hard time getting behind this stupid ticket. Why do republicans keep jamming these big government guys down our throats? I’m tired of the Republican Party turning its back on conservatives.

I really think Romney and Ryan can start the turn in a better direction, then we take it from there.

It will be a slightly better direction but that seems to be the game; change things slightly in one direction or the other while the main agenda remains intact.

I don’t know, bud. I’m getting tired of holding my nose. If RP and Johnson could come together and galvanize a solid base and make a real run for it I think I’d be there with them. If that doesn’t happen then more than likely I’ll hold my nose and vote republican.

Paul Ryan is a straight up neocon whether you like it or not.

His economic plan won't do anything but rack up more debt for decades until his plan finally balances the budget.

Ron Paul's plan had it in 3 years.

Thats the difference between somebody that wants to reduce the deficit and balance the budget, and somebody who does not.

Exactly, they are all corporatists because let's face it, the corporations all fund their election campaigns. It does not matter whether you vote right or left, they are all going to favor their corporate donors.

Dear seabag,

I think I’m ready now; I’m ready to jump on the Gary Johnson bandwagon. Here is the problem I think we face. Although most democrats are disappointed in Obama and most republicans (especially conservatives) are underwhelmed with Romney I don’t see another candidate gaining any traction. I think the ONLY chance we have of saying HELL NO to both of these clowns is a Johnson/Paul ticket or a Paul/Johnson ticket. I just don’t see enough steam from either of them alone to bring down the two-party candidates nor have I heard any call for this.

Expect more of the same. Neither Obama, Romney or Paul will change anything. The game is rigged. Representative democracy was the best game in town; but, the rules were changed so that the politicians only represent some of us and it happens to be the ones who benefit them the most. That is the truth and you can see it around you. The Democrats don't like Obama as their choice and the Republicans don't like Romney as their choice; but, those are the choices they have been given because the process has been hijacked.

Yeah and if I don't vote for that idiocy I am not patriotic...Wow...

Sorry, I think it’s pathetic to sit it out and give up fighting; throwing your hands in the air, banging your head against a wall or burying your head in the sand does nothing but strengthen those who you despise.

What do you expect to solve by not participating? Are you teaching them a lesson?

Obama is proven evil and a liar. We had 4 year to see what he is. No thanks. I didn't vote for him before, he never fooled me...wouldn't vote for him if my life depended on it......

I won’t go as far as to say either one is “evil” (at least not today
) but I do think they are not as different as you believe they are. I summed it up in the OP the best I could.

Here’s the way I see it!

Romney = lower taxes, a slightly revitalized economy, more war and less freedom.

Obama = higher taxes, a continued weak economy, more war and less freedom.

Either way we will have more war, less freedom, and the constitution will continue to be shat upon as our nation continues to move backwards.

I don't want to vote for more war and less freedom....do you?

And like I said, I'm as adamant about getting rid of Obama as you are. If we’re at the end of the line and RP or Johnson are still only polling @ 9% then I’ll hold my nose for Romney; I’m not there yet - I'm still holding out hope for a better option.

You are partially correct IMO. It’s not about ‘left’ or ‘right’ it’s about the republican and democrat two-party system. You’re confusing party affiliation with political ideology. There's a big difference between the ideologies of the left and right but there isn't a whole lot of difference between the two parties who call themselves left or right. If the Republican Party really was the party of “the right” then they’d have my vote unquestionably. Unfortunately they don't represent me or my ideology.

Ideology is simply a vision; a set of ideas that constitute a persons goals, expectations, and actions.

Ideologies are not corrupt – the two political parties are.

Why do you assume I am giving up because I do not participate in fraud? What's pathetic is participating in obvious corruption and calling it patriotic. What makes you think you have a right to tell anyone what to do via a vote?

You just got through telling us how in all your voting nothing changes except for the worse but you accuse me of banging my head against the wall please... LOL

What do you hope to accomplish in voting in a corrupt system you admit doesn't work? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.... How is it you can come to the realization voting has done nothing yet still advocate its use blindly? Seriously you think just getting enough people to vote for the right candidates will change things and that is all that is wrong?.... Until you can verify the actual vote count you are just voting blindly and emotionally attached to all the cliches about voting being patriotic and all the media lies.

I had a pear tree once that got fire blight. That is a disease that gets in through the flowers. If you catch it early enough you can lop off the branches that have it and burn them and save the tree with treatment. However once it gets into the trunk and to the top the only way to get rid of it is to destroy the tree and plant a new one. if you leave it the tree will survive for several more years but the fruit will be rotten and the branches will rot and fall off a few at a time.

Education is the key. The tree is dying the disease is at the top and producing rotten fruit it is time to pull it and plant a new one!

I have done the research.....you show me the proof...you are making the accusations....not Obama ad lies and fake journalists yelling crap at him...PROOF.

I have been watching him since he was governor and I have researched his biography from non-partial sources...not his website or RNC websites or the lies from the DNC...but the facts.

He is not evil, he is not a liar....he is just a man who is trying to do a good job, raise a family and like the rest of us sometimes in his life he changed his mind.

Who here has never changed their mind or evolved their thinking? If you haven't then you never grew.

His record in MA speaks for itself....he lowered the unemployment rate, drastically improved the educational system and brought both sides of the aisle together to get things done for the state....he approval ratings through his whole time reflected that...plus the fact he never took a salary from the taxpayers.....what evil man does that?

The politics and ideology of people in this country have blinded them to humanity, to just seeing a person for what they are.......sad.

You’re right – most people don’t vote and it’s a shame.

I would drop the "e" at the end of "shame" in that statement. Humor license contained in my membership at opinionated forum called ATS (look under troll).

I think those people who know the issues and have a position yet still chose to sit it out are hurting the country...

At least I am not out hurting other "countries".

I don’t look at it as “feeding a failed system” because if the overwhelming majority of voting Americans got behind a candidate (let’s say Gary Johnson) and Romney or Obama still won we will have effectively exposed the fraud and it would be time to take up arms and do something about it.

Naw. Won't be taking up arms against any sovereign peoples, here or abroad. Just my opinion on the interweave Something which I have never had before --- the ability to put thoughts out there to a wider audience. Much more agreeable to win a mind than take a life.

If you sit back on the couch and do nothing then obviously nothing will change and the same clowns will continue to win. More people should get involved in the voting process IMO. The system only works when people participate.

I might be "doing nothing" according to you, but really, in a world of seeming endless ambition, cruelty and greed, I would rather being doing "nothing" than aiding or abetting any of the above... for or against. I look at it more like, if more people did nothing to aid our government by actively participating in shoring it up, then it could hardly afford to foment war upon other sovereign nations. I know that to you that may sound like a lazy excuse. In my mind it is a personal choice about the best way I know to effect change on a personal level. I abstain.

Don't get me wrong Seabag, I appreciate your reply and maturity, just think that this country has finally been usurped beyond the limit of no return. Way past time to start shooting I guess, but I'm not going to do that either. That is being like them. And I am not like them.

what proof do YOU have that admits the contrary? you coming into this thread attacking anyone who is anti-romney. how about you disprove what the others are saying instead of asking others to produce information. this is the internet age... a few clicks and you will find what you want.

go for it... not hard

gpo to the URL type in G O O G L E . C O M and then hit enter...

when the page comes up... type in what you're searching for.

this isn't school or college... these aren't professors or teachers... they do not have information on demand like you're asking for. go find it yourself. people here are not going to spoon feed you what you want to see.

Umm, you do realize Romney openly and bluntly supported NDAA, which gives the executive branch the power to kidnap americans without due process? You do realize Romney is FOR gun control, and receives a D- rating with Gun Owners of America. Romney SUPPORTS the Patriot Act.

And you're just sitting there spamming away at your keyboard about how angelic Romney is.

lmao. ATS is losing its way.

Romney is a liar and the very first point of this video shows absolute irrefutable proof.

Now wake up.
