Here's the full video of Nasa's unexplained files for those like myself that didn't get to see it when it originally aired back in March .
The video features commentary and interviews with scientists and astronauts including Story Musgrave, Astronaut; Dr. Jack Kasher, Professor of Physics and Astronomy ; Jim Oberg, space flight operations specialist; Alan Bean, the fourth man to visit the moon; Franklin Chang Diaz, Astronaut; Bruce Maccabee, Optical analyst and Edgar Mitchell, Astronaut .

OK so I finished watching it and found it to be an interesting and fairly well balanced program , giving both sides of the argument a fair hearing , I found the STS 115 object particularly interesting .... reflection ? , maybe .. maybe not

Nice find,
First time I see people addressing STS80 events.
Didn't found the explanations pretty convincing to be honest.
Second half of the documentary is quite shady with their conclusions, its like someone else finished the docu

I've previously saw every footages in there and its like they edited them with more contrast. I don't know why but there is longer and better footage of the "snake" and the tether incident out there, Luna Cognita for a start

I feel the documentary was a bit light because of that.

Thanks, I will have something to watch next time, will comment it further, though it seems only enthusiasm over objectivity.

Ahh yes. Nick Pope there on the thumbnail.

Tell me...what Exactly has this man done for the field of UFOlogy other than appear on every single documentary and have "MOD" on his resume? Has he actually ever contributed anything? Anything at all?

I'm not a Pope defender but as I see it he's done about the same as the other semi official fringe players in Ufology which is make the most of his story , the same as Charles Halt , Paul Hellyer , Fife Symington and the rest , like it or not some people like to hear what he has to say as he was part of the MOD and so on the inside ... even though he wasn't really on the inside of anything

Pope needed to back the eff up from the camera a bit. I could feel his spit on my brow.

I did not even know that I misssed it, so double thank you for posting

It is worth the time to watch.
What Jack Kasher had to say on the STS-48 footage was completely new to me.
I never heard it mentioned before that the object stopped for half a second.
If true, that would probably be hard to explain for ice crystals/debris.

Kind regards

There are some interesting discussions and links at the program's home page, here:

Links to your home page and watching you correct peoples grammar is not what I would call interesting.
To each his own though.

My home page contains my "99 FAQs on Astronaut UFO Stories", which I hope anybody seeking the full story on this debate will find useful and interesting.

I did not correct anybody's grammar -- you misread the text. I corrected the SPELLING of one poster who had claimed to be superior in intellect to me. But he KEPT misspelling the word -- "your" instead of "you're" -- numerous times even after being called out on it. The misspelling was trivial and meaningless -- except as to how it reflected on his claim to higher intelligence.

Or, perhaps, as YOU are using it -- as an excuse for closing your eyes and your mind to factual information critical to properly interpreting space videos and internet astronaut rumors.

S&F for you. Didn't see that one before and it was interesting.

I have a question for you: The tether incident. What is your take on that? Were there change of directions from these so called ice particles, or is it all just an optical illusion?

Even though I have my problems with some of your views, I have to say that you made a lot sense in this documentary. Kudos to you.

Hi StringTh
The tether incident .... when I first saw it a few years ago I was impressed to the point of burning it to CD and showing friends as an example of proof of either ET craft or some form of life in space , I watched the David Sereda analysis and bought into that too .

As time has past and other explanations have been put forward I see the problems with the footage and now believe the Prosaic explanation is probably the best fit for what we are seeing , as much as I would like to believe they are ET I just can't get away from the fact that we are seeing an optical illusion in regard to apparently large objects passing behind and swarming around the tether

In discussing this show, it might halp to have the most interesting portions transcribed. Anybody willing to help, and post a few time-tagged paragraphs at a time here, would be appreciated. I'm presuming that short excerpts would not be a copyright problem for ATS management?

Thanks for your reply. I was referring to this Video from LunaCognita. Is this a fake footage or the real one? Do ice particles behave like this?

Thanks again for your time.

I think the Luna footage is real but as to why some of the objects appear to change direction I don't know , maybe someone will pop up with a plausible theory or maybe its because they are ....

Interesting footage, but let me suggest the 'turn' is an illusion based on two separate objects. Note that the turn is not observed -- if it happened, it was off-camera to the left. The camera zooms out and the new-path object appears. But if the old-path object was another object entirely, it would still have been out-of-frame.

What lunacognita is presenting is an interpretation of two separate object tracks, not an observation of a single object track that turns.

Is that possible?

The turn of the object from 3.25 close to the left hand side of the tether is very much on camera to my eyes though , and with no obvious deviation from the other objects around it ... interesting ?
