What was that ending all about? I seriously had a WTF moment there!

But yea- Id say a lot of what people are being told is a lie.

I think he meant to tell you the term is "scapegoat", not "escape goat". You are correct in usage, just a bit off on the term!

LMAO.... much appreciated.

So much for proof reading....oops!

My hats off to your Dad for doing what was needed to protect his family. At the same time, I'm sorry your parents sold their planes and moved when you were a kid, but they did what they thought was best. And evidently, it was the right choice. At least you were told the truth as to what really happened. Can't trust no one except family....

....So, what about the people who knew about Fast & Furious while "knowingly" sold guns that were going to be smuggled into Mexico? Where is their jail time? Oh, that only applies to private citizens I guess.

I'm still searching for more on this story to see if the family was more at fault or just an escape goat.

If any one has more info, please share....

this info is not about the OP family in particular...

but lets find the ratio of punishment levied on the NM family compared to the $7.5Million levied on the actual & intentional illegal arms sales in the $100's of millions & even Billions to a laundry list of clients in the middle east by a NGO- 'contractor' 8/Y/M.html
Academi (LLC): Company previously known as Blackwater agrees to $7.5 million fine in arms smuggling case
August 10, 2012 Source: Washington Post

is this case the inspiration for the Øbama secret insistance of the 'Fast And Furious' operation...betcha the progressives lifted the gun trafficking into Mexico from the neo-cons & Blackwater over in Iraq
