Body Parts Of Troops Kept Without Permission

The remains of soldiers killed in Afghanistan have been kept by the Ministry of Defence without the permission of their families, officials have admitted.

Fifty tissue samples and a number of body parts are understood to have been retained by the Royal Military police (RMP) without relatives of the servicemen being notified.

I think this is a disgrace, what are they doing with these body parts and samples, why keep them without consent?

It is illegal surely, and it must be very distressing to the families of dead soldiers to hear that they have been keeping parts of their loved ones body parts or tissue to do who knows what with.
