i updated my firewall the other day, figured it was about time.
tonight i was going to capture a photo to post, and my firewall alert came up saying that my software's action could be associated with an attempt to record keystrokes, mouse clicks, and other types of malicious behavior.
thing is i have been using the same firewall and capture software for the past couple of years.
struck me as being kinda strange.

question does any body know any good program that are cheap or even better that are free that doesn't contain this malware

Or if on a Mac, it's CMD + Shift + 4. Really easy and it lets you capture as much, or as little, as you want and saves it right to the desktop. Pretty freakin' useful.

As I have never been able to do a screen capture,

That is a great question. I'm using Windows XP and IE 8?

I could use the advice as well.

Not to mention, my video card is 256, and it is ancient.

Hoo Haa, time for an Alienware System?

I'm such a knucklehead that I keep upgrading my original pipeline.

Any windows system already has screen capture built in.

1 - Hit the 'Prt Scrn' button on your keyboard to copy what on the screen to clipboard memory.

2 - Then open up 'paint' from your stat menu

3 - click 'paste' (or Ctrl + V ) to paste the image into the program.

4 - Use crop to cut out the image from the captured screen if you need to.

5- Save the image.

Its a simple as that

Windows 7 has a neat "snipping tool" that is right there on the "Start" screen. You get to pick what area you want to copy. It is great in my estimation, not having to save unwanted items on a page.

Why cant you just rt-click the area and "save" the photo? Ive never in 15 years used a screen capture...and I have thousands of photos.

Whether Ive been home, at work or at the public library...Ive always rt-clicked and "save photo":.
