Mitt Romney Started Bain Capital With Money From Families Tied To Death Squads

In 1983, Bill Bain asked Mitt Romney to launch Bain Capital, a private equity offshoot of the successful consulting firm Bain & Company. After some initial reluctance, Romney agreed. The new job came with a stipulation: Romney couldn't raise money from any current clients, Bain said, because if the private equity venture failed, he didn't want it taking the consulting firm down with it.

When Romney struggled to raise funds from other traditional sources, he and his partners started thinking outside the box. Bain executive Harry Strachan suggested that Romney meet with a group of Central American oligarchs who were looking for new investment vehicles as turmoil engulfed their region.

Romney was worried that the oligarchs might be tied to "illegal drug money, right-wing death squads, or left-wing terrorism," Strachan later told a Boston Globe reporter, as quoted in the 2012 book "The Real Romney." But, pressed for capital, Romney pushed his concerns aside and flew to Miami in mid-1984 to meet with the Salvadorans at a local bank.

It was a lucrative trip. The Central Americans provided roughly $9 million -- 40 percent -- of Bain Capital's initial outside funding, the Los Angeles Times reported recently. And they became valued clients.

These "founding investors" of Bain Capital and the people Mitt Romney met with in Miami were the Salaverria, Poma, de Sola and Dueñas clans. They directly funneled money to death squads in El Salvador.

Between Romney engaged in some questionable tax shelters (Son of BOSS) for Marriott and his taking blood money from Salvadorans connected to death squads, Mitt has some serious baggage. This guy will never come clean - he has way too many skeletons in his closet.

It's not likely Romney can dodge this one...he personally met with these people. He was personally funded by mass murderers...he made his fortune off of money from people who were responsible for killing hundreds of people.


But for some reason...I'm think some people are going to think that this isn't a big deal...I'm sure they will say this is "just a distraction"...and then ask to see Obama's college transcripts

He'll dodge it. I don't think he should be able to, and it would confound me that he could. But supporters of both Romney and Obama are completely blind to murder. It means nothing that Romney took blood money from this guys, and it means nothing to Obama supporters that he personally has thousands of innocent citizens of sovereign nations murdered a year for oil.

No Charles, this is the huff post, they only tell you one side, the dirty liberal side.

The problem with Romney lies in him not telling people what he really did at Bain therefore left wing loonies can make up all kinds of things about him, and there dwindling brainwashed population will believe it. I don't think Romney is the kind of politician or guy to prop himself up on a pedestal like some amazing investor or businessman. Most businessmen are just happy to be successful at what they do, and they don't brag about it. Not to mention a lot of it is insider confidential company information. Now, I know this site is full of curious conspiracy kooks but that doesn't mean he's hiding something. If you know anything about business operations, you know there is some things that cannot be made public--Even if you wanted to it would be against something called federal law!

The Obama campaign has struck very low in this one, however, its funny that all of these charges are not even being officially placed against Romney, in the first place. If any of this was true, Obama can easily place the NSA, CIA, DEA, and the FBI on him and arrest him. As President he has that power, and then with Romney gone he would easily win the election, right?
