Nonsense. It is not done by CGI, the small plants move in a very natural way when touched by the "arms" of the "creature".

In my opinion this is a guy in a costume with a mask, and the arms are not really his arms but artificial and he is moving them with his real arms which are hidden behind the costume. His legs and feet are in the non visible dark background. Kind of like a puppet player.

The creature doesnt move from that spot...he keeps pawing at the same ground and actually backs up a couple inches...

His hand doesn't seem to be grasping that ridged rock...when his hand goes out and then lands on the rock there doesn't seem to be any coordination at grabbing the rock and his hand kind of drags back to position to come forward and paw at the same ground again.

If his legs are trapped and he can't move...maybe, but I still see no muscle tone when grabbing/ pawing at the ground to run after the people.

You see that one guy pass the camera as if to run in fear but the camera man basically stays in fixed position...

And then the ever present ending of the film...just like that.

In my NON professional, but observant qualities I tend to be proud of...I say..not real.

I've downloaded this video but I will only watch it during the day.

Looks rubber to me.

The way it buckles and bobs it's head it looks like it's a mostly rubber animatronic(sp).
Even the way it moves, it's claws never actually grip the rocks.
The way it slips, I would think a creature like that if native to the area wouldn't have as much trouble traveling across familiar terrain.
