Geez, Dave, don't you know? This is ATS! If it makes the US look bad, it's OK by them.

I was wondering the same things myself? Notice that the Soviet Union isn't brought up, and they were dealing in Central America, Africa, and other places just as much, if not more, then the US.

Somewhere there's a long list of times the US was "engaged" in combat operations. 90% of the incidents were BS events like US Marines evacuating embassy personnel when some 3rd world country was tanking.

The usa has been involved in more open conflicts than IRan

THe usa and IRan have also had covert conflicts.

Adding them all up the USA has more tallies on their book.

Most of the involvement the usa has in other countries is purely for self interest not necessarily to make the world a better place or to help the people in that nation. All the countries that have been "liberated" have been bombed to hell stating that collateral damage is just part of liberating the people they want to save. The USA only takes interest in other nations if they have resources they covet or some means by which it will benefit. It has nothing to do with saving teh people. If that was the case then collateral damage would not be okay.


Look the USA is warmongering nation. It does so to stay at the top of the food chain. That is okay. It is okay to be a warmongerer. Just do not lie to yourself that our nation is not. I accept it instead of living in denial

The point of the thread was to point out who had more open conflicts or did you miss the origninal post??

It is normal that a super power only looks out for their self interests but our government attempts to make it seem like any action they take is only to help the people of the target nation which is bs.

The soviet union is gone because it was war like just like the USA.(among other reasons as well) You can't keep warring perpetually.You also make many enemies which is why many of the countries that were part of the soviet union do whatever necessary not to work with putin. The soviet union lost their power now those countries no longer HAVE to like Russia.

I point out the obvious about the covert activities since many people only mention the covert activities of Iran. Unless it is just ignored.

Nuclear weapons? that just propaganda, the only country to have nuclear weapons and use them on people is US, why is no one stoping them from having those weapons, since they are the trigger happy ones?

Like i said, US has Nuclear weapons, so does russia and a few other countries, why is no one stopping them?
No one was arrested or trialed after they bombed japan, more like over kill japan with a nuclear weapon.

If US stops invading and setting up terrirost(CIA) agents on other peoples land, im pretty sure they would have no reason to retaliate, or even invade ur so called "AMERICA" which isnt even a real country.

Iran probably has the ability to build one or two small Nukes of the Fission Type that would be the size of a truck. The problem with Iran is they can give Nuclear Enriched Fuel to a Terrorist Group and it could be used as a DIRTY BOMB.
Iran is not a real threat to the U.S. but it is a threat to other countries in the Middle East. But this will all quickly resolve itself as the current Iranian Leadership has but 11 to 12 Months of life left before Iran's own people remove it and install a Democratic Government.

My POINT is that Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. It has broken just about Every Agreement in that treaty. Sanctions are justified as well as possible Military Action as Iran signed a TREATY that states IRAN agrees that these actions...Sanctions and possible Military action to enforce the Treaty are LAWFUL!

Iran's current Leadership will be removed...it has already been decided. Russia and China are aware and already have made DEALS with the U.S. Russia wants it's Natural Gas Pipeline protected and since it makes a lot of money for it's use...the U.S. has agreed to make sure any interruption of Gas Flow to be short lived. China has made a deal that ensures that Iranian Oil will continue to be shipped to China from Iran...the U.S. has agreed to keep China's Oil Flowing. Israel has been TOLD IT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BOMB IRANIAN NUCLEAR SITES AS WELL AS IT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE INVOLVED IN ANY MILITARY ACTION.

This is a KEY agreement between Iranian Military Forces and the U.S. Military. Iran's Military Leadership KNOWS that a WAR with the United States is SUICIDE! They want NO PART OF IT! They will STAND DOWN AS LONG AS ISRAEL STAYS OUT OF THE FIGHT! The Public Propaganda Military Mouth Piece that the World Media hears is a Spokesman of the Old Religious Guard Regime. The REAL IRANIAN MILITARY LEADERSHIP is aware that they would be the first to die in a Game of Politics. This is because of Iranian Nuclear Sites. Iran's Navy, Air Force, Army will be wiped out. We will even go after out of country Iranian Qud's Forces. Nuclear Sites will have to be SEIZED by our SPECIAL FORCES AND RANGERS....thus if a REAL WAR starts...you will see Giant Wings of B-52H's in 4 Groups of 22 per group carrying Smart Carpet Bombing Munitions each the size of a 500lbs bomb with these B-52's also using WING CARRIERS for a total of 112 BOMBS PER PLANE. Each Bomb contains 150 to 250 Bomblets that are approved by the Cluster Bomb ban as they render themselves inert if not exploded. The Large Bombs burst above target and each Bomblet has a small rocket that targets IR-Light. Thus they only hit viable targets. The ones with 150 Bomblets are for destroying Tanks, Troop Carriers and other Equipment.

I do not want to see this happen but it will if Iran attempts to close the Strait and they will attack the Pro-Democracy Movement at the same time they order the Strait Closed. Plans are to protect the Democracy Leadership Cells with Special Forces...that is if the Iranian Military STANDS DOWN. I am certain they will as they can be a Protector of a New Iran or they can be DEAD! Plus they are ANGRY that they feel BETRAYED BY THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT!
