Iran's Nuclear Insurance Policy VIA the Taliban

Iran is increasing its support of the Taliban. The idea: If the US attacks Iran's nuclear program, an alliance with the Taliban would be a perfect way to strike US forces in Afghanistan. Iran could provide the Taliban with surface to air missiles, light arms, and weapons that could kill many US service men stationed there. As if things could not get any worse:

All this is mostly speculation.

There are no sources for this information, just conjecture. I'll believe it when there's some actual proof and not just more war drum beating by media outlets.

The only problem with that is that the Taliban weren't around in the 80s. Some former Mujaheddin fighters 7 years later formed up as the "Taliban" as we know them today in the mid 90s. Also, Iran has major issues with their own internal problems with certain Iranian Mujaheddin.

The topic is speculation at best.
