Is it True? I heard,,,,,,, The Democratic Party announced that it is changing its symbol from the Donkey to a Condom because it more accurately reflects the Party's political stance.

A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of dicks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed!

Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that!

That's one of the main problems with government. They use quantum mechanics, theory, what have you...

When all that is required is simple arithmetic.

You're entire post has gotta be a joke with the punchline at the end and all. 1- Democrats endless war? Its funny, I can't recall in recent memory, or ever, of a democrat president being told they couldn't go to war by congress. Then turn around and use coke sale proceeds laundered through Panamanian banks to buy weapons through the Israelis from Iranian arms dealers to give to rebels to overthrow a government and attempt to install a puppet government allowing pillage level economic access to the aforementioned nation. But I can think of a republican one. 2- Spending? Pfffft. Cost/plus no-bid contracts & the Dorgan amendment to eliminate fraud in private contractors (the senate roll call says it all, every no a gop , every yea a democrat.). Police state? Gimme a break. I felt deeply touched by this. Probably because the outcome was so ironic. But all I can say is this: from what I've learned and personally observed, I see very little difference between republicans and democrats. They only differ in what they do after they take your money.

Democrats want to take my money and give it to everyone else who isn't me.

Republicans want to take my money and give it to themselves and their criminal friends.

The "platform differences" are merely there to keep us distracted from this.

This maybe a myopic, cynical outlook, but I can't really see myself subscribing to much else regarding the two.

So your company found an excuse to move out of country (what kind of tax we are talking about?) and that is enough for you to find democrats less evil then republicans?!

First, lets ask our selves who has majority in congress and senate?

And secondly, can demolished image of USA in world, 2 wars with wrong foes, dead house market, more stupid education (with wrong slogan instead of no it should be "all" children left behind) be really less evil? I think not.

This is why I can't be a republican:
1. I don't believe in ignorance before intelligence.
2. Evolution
3. Straight Male/Sympathetic toward gays
4. Old World Way of thinking.
5. War solves everything.
6. Belief in the Bible over Factual Information (See number 1)
7. Taxation of the Middle Class
8. I don't make more then 250K a year

What was the tax?

Best case scenario, liberal policies ultimately fail. Worst case scenario, conservative values still give you a fighting chance.

Human nature is key, and to think man could ever control man in one massive centralized government is absolutely ridiculous. Any step towards this is a step in the wrong direction.

If you are afraid of life and don't understand the genius of the "American Dream," you vote democrat. I guarantee the majority of people have been taught "conservative" principles by their parents and live largely "conservative" lifestyles. Yet they are blind and get caught up with the "good intentions" democrats keep spewing that never seem to have any results. (Besides grow dependency in our society.)

Social issues mean NOTHING if you don't have a country to run them in. The only thing the liberal dream will achieve is the dismantling of America, followed by new foreign influences on the separated states.

Strip away all the he said she said coming from both parties, and look at their core values...liberals are flawed to the core.

The democrats are not concerned about money-unless they are the ones spending or recieving.
Accountability means nothing to them, and we all know that they are Tax Crazy because they dont know how to raise revenue by any other means,
You can forget about them making cuts in social areas just like you can forget about cuts from the MIC on the republican side.(eventhough both sides love their war these days).

If I were you, I wouldnt set myself up for failure again by getting yourself involved with the other party which is basically the shoe for the other foot. Same brand- same size- just on different feet.

Go independant- forget about these two corrupt parties, and hate em all for the grief they have put this nation through.

I am sorry to hear about your situation svipdagr. People like your father are truly the very best that America has to offer, and the epitome of they kind of person that built the American Dream.

Most people don't want to look at the truth - the times when the business owner had to take a huge risk and invest all of his money in something that might fail, instead of taking the easier path and getting a corporate job. The times when he pays all of his employees to make sure they are treated fairly, and then ends up with nothing left to take home to his own family. The times when he makes decisions that will increase the benefits of his workers, rather than pocketing that extra money for himself.

The lazy and unmotivated want to insult the small businessman because deep down they know that they don't have any accomplishments that compare. They want to take what he has because they are too lazy to do something for themselves. They want to rely on the tired old stereotype of the stinking rich greedy bastard riding around in a yacht and living in a mansion while his workers scrape by, because that twisted viewpoint supports their perverse narrative.


Small business owners are the salt of the earth and the backbone of any economy. If we want to recover, we need to support them instead of draining our money down the dark hole of socialism and welfare schemes. When a business owner finally makes good after years of work, we should not try and punish them by seizing more of their wealth, we should hold them up as positive role models for the rest to follow.

While I am very sorry you lost your job, you post no relevant information to help us understand this "tax" that you were told the company faced. One thousand per cent? Really? I find that difficult to believe. It seems to me that what really happened is that because the economy tanked on the republican watch, the company could no longer make the profits it once did. This has happened to many companies. The ones that had enough capital either moved operations to nations with slave labor, or closed their plants here and just purchased the products from those slave nation manufacturers. If they do not have the capital, they fold. Yes, maybe there was an increase in taxes, but since there have been no new real taxes for businesses for quite a few years it is doubtful, of course it could have been a state tax, which is a different issue.

The bottom line is that it sounds as though the company you worked for sold you a bill of goods and you bought it lock stock and barrel. Why would they do that? Because those who people who outsourced your jobs still have to live in the same town as you. They go to the same church and shop at the same stores. They do not wish to be shunned or threatened.

If this is not the case and you have information regarding the alleged tax increase please share it with us so that we can make an informed assesment of your reasoning.

BTW, if you are a machinist your skill is highly in demand and you should be able to go to any number of the still operating industries in the country and just about write your own ticket as there are few machinists left.
