Really? And who was it that came up with one of the most revolutionary technologies of its time back when top government scientists were saying it was
impossible according to physics (the airplane)? The private sector. It is a well known fact that private industry is many times more efficient at what
the government does in just about anything (science, service, etc). If you don't like these principals this country was founded on, then there are
many socialist countries that would welcome you and your tax dollars with open arms around the world. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

top it. I'll give you a clue they won't. Having little money, and loving your job, plus American ingenuity is whats got us thus far. The corporate
ideal of just trowing money at it. As well as only going to what would only make money, is not the way to go.
Oh, like building $2.5 billion computerized SUV's that will only benefit a few elite academics in the long run or taking pictures from a satellite of
a planet in our solar system? Wow, you're right! Indeed they are doing ground breaking stuff that will spark a second industrial revolution. Also, I
think you have the "corporate ideal" confused with the "liberal ideal" of throwing money at everything to solve them. Do you even know what a
corporation is? They don't exactly have all the money in the world to throw at useless ideas like the government does because they are responsible to

25% of the budget to NASA? Are you out of your mind? You clearly are one of those people that want to turn this great country into a socialist
hell-hole. Giving NASA more funding just lines the pockets of their administrators more, as this is the standard result of extending more funding for
any government agency. There won't be more projects or an increase of quality of life (give me a break), and you can't honestly be this stupid to
think it will solve the unemployment problem, do you? You really think most Americans are trained scientists and engineers? Major facepalm.

out of dept completely by being the worlds major hub for space travel as well as owning all mining as well as resources if we pulled our head out of

Perhaps you're not too familiar with concepts such as special relativity and the vast distances of space which essentially prohibit any type of
serious space travel outside of our solar system. I'm sorry to say, but we aren't leaving this planet any time soon (and likely will never). It's
time we focused on more pressing issues at home such as foreign policy and this unemployment problem (once again, only a true fool would more funding
for NASA will solve the unemployment problem). As for mining asteroids, let the private sector deal with that. There is enough money and an incentive
to mine the almost limitless resources that can be extracted, and the private sector will definitely not let such an opportunity go to waste.
