Amateur Launches Rocket Into Space (Amazing Video)

Just found this clip and thought it was the best video i have ever seen on a launch in real-time without the usual cuts and trims. This launch is filmed from multiple angles and the whole sequence is filmed from launch until entering the stratosphere. It´s amazing how short time it takes to get into space... Something i realized after watching this clip.

I would like to know what messed up the camera. I suppose it has to do with (decling) pressure on the ccd.

Tip watch towards the end (the spent rocket stage parachute does not open and it ploughs into the ground at Mach 1 just meters from the launch site.

With all respect but I think to compare those two is wrong. Why do you think the achievment you posted is greater?
The rocket failed and you can see nothing in the video.

The video OP posted is far better and they managed to bring back the rocket not scattered.
I really don´t see why you post this and why it should be better ???

That's a really great achievement to go so high, but 100,000 feet is not considered "going into space".

Space is considered (by a convention of people who decide such things) to start at 60 miles (100 km) up. That's about 317,000 feet. This rocket went up about 19 miles (31 km). That's only 1/3 of the way to the "official" edge of space.


EDIT TO ADD:
I did a little more research and see that this rocket west 121,000 feet up -- higher than I initially said. However, 121,000 feet (22.5 miles or 36 km) or is still only a little higher than 1/3 of the way to space.

When the rocket started tapering off I was hoping for a second stage to kick in Sucked when it was totally spent, I wanted to see it go higher! Pretty cool video though, makes me wanna go buy an Estes rocket for me and my kids to fire off.

Absolutely amazing. Who knows, maybe they won't be able to keep mankind from space if he wants to go. It reminds me of the old west days when people wanted to go to the western part of the US, so they built wagons to get them there.

Totally awesome. What makes it worth it are the camera angles. Especially the ones on board. We are along for the ride.
