The Texas criminal database shows he also went by Wade Michael Pierson. He also has a criminal case in North Carolina, but I can't really figure out what the charges were or what the disposition was. The case number was:

2010CR 053650

if someone has a way to look that up. That one was in 2010.

What I find interesting about the Texas charge is that the statute he was arrested under includes graffiti on other people's property.

Just sayin'.

I really don't get how this thread has devolved into pro or con gun laws, utterly irrelevant.

What is terribly relevant is the Fort Bragg history of this guy, and how Fort Bragg has a frequent mass shooting incident ... just my perspective.

Another tragedy. Another false flag? My thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families. And, I know some of you will hate this next bit, once again unarmed people are slaughtered.

One armed citizen would have made a real difference. One person with appropriate training to shoot back and defend those unable or unwilling to defend themselves...

Prior to starting the search at the 3700 block of Holmes Ave., police asked two blocks of residents to leave the area or remain indoors. FBI agents are there with an armored truck, a trailer and other vehicles. Other law enforcement officers are there too, along with a police dog.

Before the evidence is in -- I'm betting the shooter was a super patriot who is angry at Muslims and the threat they pose to America. Chance of hate crime; 90%.

He probably isn't even aware that the Sikh's are a different group. Like being angry at Chinese people because 70 years ago, another asian group attacked Pearl Harbor.

I'm only hoping he didn't watch the latest bat man movie -- because that would mean there is some trigger in that movie (no pun intended).

The media should be all over this story, because they are busy trying to find anything to make people forget about the Banking scandals so the average Joe doesn't consider how rigged the system is that decides who wins and who loses. If we don't get the normal feeding frenzy -- then the question is "why not?"

I'll just throw this out there quickly and refer back later, but if you read the first article on Google News...CBS I believe, it details what the gunman did exactly while in the military. This may or may not have any bearing on the current situation, but...he worked for 6 years in psychological operations followed by a less than honorable discharge.

Just seems interesting in light of the possibilities swirling about this shooting.

CBS News reports that Page enlisted in the Army in April 1992 and was given a less-than-honorable discharge in October 1998. He was last stationed in Fort Bragg, N.C., serving in the psychological operations unit.

Once you've trained a person to KILL others on command -- what's to distinguish the "enemy" from anyone else? Maybe he watches TV shows or reads books that point to turbaned, dark-skinned people as "the enemy" and it just set him off. When the media covers a lot of these crazed shooters -- they usually fail to mention the type of propaganda they are usually reading (most have something from Glenn Beck), and they also fail to mention the military history and who they associated with (Timothy McVeigh).

We can't really say what the story with this fellow is -- but starting with the "usual suspects" is the best start.

Actually, I used the term “subhuman” on purpose. And yes I am convinced that skinheads are subhuman. They lack fundamental rationality and their ethics is less then human.

The police sometimes pad an arrest report with every damage a suspect has committed. But it's getting a bit silly when we have "murdered 8, wounded 14, and tagged walls with spray paint." Maybe the police officer was not fully convinced this (killing unchristian foreigners) was a bad thing, and wanted to bring up hygiene as well. This is Texas, after all, not to sound prejudiced -- but you can't be sure that graffiti doesn't put it higher on the priority list than a charge of "threatened American employs extreme 'Stand Your Ground' defense."

If the Sikhs were wearing Hoodies -- I'm sure the defense will use that as Probable Cause.

Amazing how quickly the FBI labeled this a case of Domestic Terror. Yet, the DOJ was so quick to run from that same label concerning the FT. Hood massacre even though Hasan's official business card indicated that he was SoA or Soldier of Allah.

Hasan was a psychiatrist and this new shooter was previously in a psychological operations unit in Fr. Bragg. The Batman shooter was a Neuroscience student on campus designated as a DARPA facility. My tinfoil hat is telling me that something stinks... Is someone sending out signals???
