Will the "2012" forum section get removed if nothing happens in 2012?

Just curious.. with all this doom about 2012 and the end of days, when it passes.. which it will, will the 2012 forum section be removed?

Don't know if this belongs in this section of the forum but if it doesn't please move it mods.

I think they will just change the date of the forum every year. Next year it will be 2013, then 2014. You have to love doom porn and folks are already making predictions about 2013. We haven't gotten passed the big Mayan "Going Out With A Blast" date yet.

Sounds like a good idea, just delete it or rename it 2012 hoaxes, to show all of the hype involved in the change of a time period.
I imagine folks would glean a lot of information off of a y2k forum.

No they wont shut it down, because it will be full of people posting about how the world ended and the rest of us missed it or how they were “enlightened”

Also the rest of us can fill the forum with the “ok so you were all wrong” threads and demand that the conspiracy nuts stop with their fear mongering.

I am really looking forward to spending my 2013 on the predictions forum with the line “nothing happened on 2012 so shy should I believe you now”.

Once again Y2K was a real issue with computer programs that could have been disasterous had the problem not been identified and corrected in time. Y2K was REAL. This 2012 nonsense in not the same thing at all. Y2K was not a fear mongering fantasy. Look, 2012 is alreay 2/3's over and its been pretty boring as far as natural disasters go. No major EQ's, or Hurricanes or volcanos. No major damage from a pretty active solar season, the world has not gone to war, the aliens have not landed, the poles have not reversed, the polar caps have not melted so I guess its pretty safe to say that nothing untoward will happen.

Look, 2012 is alreay 2/3's over and its been pretty boring as far as natural disasters go.

I guess you don't live in the US.
We are experiencing the most wide spread and extreme drought in the better part of a century.
Not just extreme but many places rate it as exceptional.

Plus China is drowning in our water ration.

So it's not quite as boring as you indicate.
