Large police escort guarding 3 SUVs in Seattle this morning...

There were at least 20+ police units as well as several SUV's traveling southbound on the Alaskan Way Viaduct this morning around 11:00 am. I am curious to know who that was for, I looked to see if President Obama or Presidential hopeful Romney were in town but neither appeared to be. Any of the Seattle area members see this or know anything about this?

No grand conspiracy here just curious.

Sounds like the police are doing what they are supposed to do... Protect And Serve... the 1%!

But sadly i don't know who the lucky lady/lad is. Just seems like a high priority subject thats higher up.

Did you check if there was any political conferences? Or if any presidential candidates were involved?

Only an idiot would drive this weekend in seattle so it could very well be Mitt or Barack.

I believe the mystery is solved, I wrote the West Seattle blog editor and he said it was most likely the Blue Angles pilots being escorted from Seattle to Boeing Field.

It makes sense, thanks for the input guys!

Lol I was wondering why I kept hearing fighter jets. One scared the hell out of me when I was sleeping in. Last year I forgot too and tried to drive over I 90. Spent a loooooong time sitting there.

And you posted on his thread just to rip him? What's wrong with some of the people here on ATS? The OP wrote about something that he/she thought might be of interest to others and then, like a good researcher, followed up on his own post.

Just to fill you in a bit I did email the editor before I posted a thread here in ATS, and didn't think I would receive a response so quickly being a weekend so I decided to do a quick thread to ask the ATS community their thoughts on the matter. Apparently this was a mistake worthy of a reprimand from you, I will keep this in mind while contemplating future thread topics.

And as it turns out I received an email rather quickly from the editor....anddd on ATS I received your post, thank you for your input it was truly insightful and enlightening.

I thought the safety of myself and my wife was more important than a picture and at the time had no intention of posting a thread about it. It wasn't until I tried to search for information on the matter and found nothing that I started to get curious and emailed the editor at the WSB and posted this thread.

And having pictures doesn't guarantee authenticity as has been proven here in ATS time and time again.

You can take a picture of ANYTHING you want to. They weren't on private property so take all the pictures you want to. If I seen a MIB agent I would do whatever I could in my power to tick him off. Because I know they can't legally do anything back.

So please don't be scared of someone under the laws of the constitution that is just as equal as you are. No matter how high up they are.

Not scared, needed my hands to steer the vehicle I was operating at the time. It would be really stupid to hit a wall because I was trying to take a photograph at 50 mph.
