Iran-Contra:inconvenient truth

Twenty-five years ago one of the biggest scandals rocked American politics -- it was known as the Iran-Contra scandal. In the 1980's, the US was selling weapons to Iran and pumping money into Nicaragua to support rebel forces, but the scandal which took place during the Reagan administration has been forgotten by manyAmericans. Robert Perry covered the matter back in 1980s and he joins RT's Liz Wahl to talk more about the situation.

25 years later and we still don't know all the details of the Iran-Contra scandal.All the investigations were cut short and as G. H.W. Bush's term as President was coming to a close he pardoned all of the major players just as the special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh was in the process of taking the case to court. I guess George HW knew that it would all lead back to Reagan's handlers and him.

Mr. Camper, a highly regarded intel asset, according to him, was silenced with 5.5 years, maily in solitary confinement, for his role as underling to Ollie North.
