Now, who is this mystery Romney supporter....retired porn star Jenna Jameson.

news.yahoo.com...

"I'm very looking forward to a Republican being back in office," Jameson said while sipping champagne in a VIP room at Gold Club in the city's South of Market neighborhood. "When you're rich, you want a Republican in office."

The sad thing is that she is 100% correct...the rich will benefit from Romney being in office...the middle and low class will suffer.

And how would Romney get voted into office...by getting the majority vote from those he is going to screw over....the low and middle class.

It's kind of sad when someone like Jenna Jameson sees what is going on and others don't.

Growing up in the 1950s-60s, I heard the political saying, "Want to live like a Republican? Vote Democratic" The meaning back then was the Dems had the backs of the Middle Class, helping the middle class with good jobs to afford vacations, a house, medical bills paid, children off to college, savings in the bank.

Of course, that was when the middle class was growing their wealth, and the disparity between the boss's or business owner and the employee was no where near as great as it is now. A CEO now makes about 200 times more.

Yes, the wealthy have always wanted a Rep in office, because they controlled the wealth. Another saying I heard was that the GOP was the Party of Big Business..

Well, by 1980, the Country Club Republicans, in order to stay in office, needed the votes of the middle class, so was born the WalMart Republicans. Did that relationship work out? Sadly, sadly, no,...for certain Republicans. By 2008, the wealth of those WM Republicans had been forked over (trickled upward) to those CC Reps.

So, yeah, if you're wealthy, Rep rules make sense.

Probably not...and yes I am being judgemental...but she seems like a complete idiot.

But even she recognizes that if you are rich, Romney will do everything he can to benefit them.

Sounds like the Obama Campaign paid a high price for this "ad".

And her agency gets 10% !!

Looks like a "Chicago" set up.

I don't know. Who?
I just saw Romney on TV statiing he would not raise taxes.
Then again, Obama and Reid still haven't passed a budget and couldn't live within one if they did.
Obama just passed the highest tax bill against the middle class with Obama Care.
You mean Obama is going to raise taxes again?

After thinking, I think this should have been titled

Obama Supporter: When you are not rich you want your hand in my pocket.

Another saying I remember from childhood (my family had both registered Reps and Dems, and cross party or split voting on ballots was common back then) was "With Democrats you get war, with Republicans you get depressions."

Well, things started to change after 1980. Reagan got America involved in small scale wars euphemistically called "low intensity conflicts", along with recessions hitting the nation, and the banks and savings and loans getting looted by rich crooks who knew the fed would bail out the accounts.

By the time Clinton was elected, Dems got smarter about war, reformed welfare, and there was a budget surplus.

Then, and here's where the thread topic comes in, GW Bush became POTUS. If you were into the lifestyle of the rich and famous, you could get a job as, say FEMA director. If you were wealthy and owned big oil support services (like VP Cheney, who also got wealthier from military support businesses in wartime) or defense businesses, then an elective war would be started in Iraq and your coffers would grow with tax dollars, and any extra dollars needed for the war would be put on the charge card to be dealt with later, by someone else, after you left the scene of the crime.

...hmmmm, I'm reminded of how a spouse runs up debt on charge cards and buys with loans with your name, then asks for a divorce, leaving the debt behind for you to pay. ....and it gets worse sometimes, if the spouse gives away your money to her/his friends right before s/he walks away, leaving you without money to pay off the debt s/he incurred. ....and you're stuck with a minimum wage job....gonna be a long, long...long time before your situation turns around. ....

Anyway, if you were into any sort of nation building business back then, even though I remember candidate Bush on TV statiing he would not nation build like his opponent, you got wealthier. ...I also remember Bush stating on tv that the U.S. would remain in Iraq “as long as necessary and not one day more.”...of course, the average citizen took that to mean when the fighting was over, but the "have mores" knew that meant we'ld leave as soon as every penny, every wealth, could be extracted from that country by and for them, no matter how long it took.

No, I just don't care for the Republican version of Santa Claus. I get coal in my stocking.

I don't think it matters which party holds the presidency. The rich are always going to have control.

Democrats say that they stand for the middle class but they still end up making or supporting legislation that benefits corporate donors.

Republicans admit that they stand almost exclusively for the wealthy and only pay lip-service to the middle class when it's election time.

The Republicans ARE the political arm of corporate America and the Democrats are the "B" squad in training.

So you all can fight back and forth over which party is better, but we all know it's an exercise in futility. You're screwed either way.

Romney Supporter: When you're rich, you want a Republican in office

That's totally correct. The republicans aren't trying to steal from those who have more simply because they have more. The democrats are. Therefore, if you are successful, you don't want the looters (democrats) in office. Heck, if you are middle class you shouldn't want the democrats either Obamacare and the 20+ new taxes hit everyone.

When your a Republican trying to run on family values, you probably don't want the endorsement of a porn star.

Does Jenna Jamieson not realize that Mitt is going to clamp down on the porn industry if elected? How can anyone in porn support this guy?

American citizens who are not super wealthy have NO BUSINESS voting for a republican. PERIOD!!!!

Republicans demonstrate daily how their ONLY INTEREST is the interest of the super wealthy. They will sign and pass ANYTHING that allows their super wealthy class from paying their FAIR SHARE PERCENTAGE-WISE even if it comes at the expense of middle and lower classes whom are already OVERBURDENED significantly.

Make NO MISTAKE, republicans will fully support raising taxes on all of us and eliminating everything in this country that benefits its citizens if it would mean that the super wealthy will be exempt from sharing the burden involved with fixing this country and getting it back on track.

Their interest is the super wealthy, and most of us ATS members here are NOT in that exclusive group. As American citizens everywhere start seeing the true-colors of the republicans, republicans should lose by a LANDSLIDE this elections. A LANDSLIDE.

One huge exception to the "rich people support Republicans" theory is the Hollywood crowd.
Clooney, Hanks, Baldwin and that ilk.
But then again, they're largely ignorant, egotistical, haughty, self-important phonies who support someone like Obama for the simple reason they think it's cool.

Don't you think that statement reeks of ignorance? Seriously, what does that kind of comment do to further your point?

There are plenty "Hollywood types" that support the Republican party. Some of them are ignorant, self-important numbskulls.

Mel Gibson comes to mind.......
