Typical strawman argument... So you say that only people that agree with your political views can live there? Anyone who thinks differently should leave? In a truly open society people can have open political debates, they can vote on the politics they believe in, it is why it is called democracy. They have as much right as anyone else to say what they wish their system of politics to be, got a surprise for you, it is not your country, it does not belong to you or any individual or group. You are all just residents and each have an equal right to say how they want the country run. And if you don't like you could always get in a boat and float to a nice dictatorship.

There are two kinds of capitalism
1)one controlled by banking interests/international finance which is centralized
2)one not.

The one controlled by banking interests is responsible for :
5)Trotskyite/marxist communism

Go back in history and you will find that all centralized capitalist/communist systems were controlled by International finance and banking interests. There fall was also related to these interests.

Why did Jesus throw the bankers out of the temple?

The only solution : Decentralization which will lead to Libertarianism.

and communism doesn't lead to corporatism......?

Public subsidy for private profit....?

and you answered yourself.....THEN REGULATE IT PROPERLY.....Instead of advocating a violent revolution with no guarantee that the people you place in power will be loyal or that their successors will be loyal....

I prefer the system that by its core values offers a means of regulation over the system that by its core values funnels wealth to an elite ruling class.

what kind of communism are we talking about here? leninism bolshevism? marxism? trotskyism? i mean, countries that have been pushed towards socialism/communism have always been inherently oppressed by the burgoise, the so called "peasentry" has always been exploited by the rich and powerful. and its beyond me how anyone can view the 2 party dictatorship of america as the protectors of freedom? yes communism is a dictatorship, but a dictatorship of the proletariat, something the west could learn a lot from. people really need to study communism and socialism, in all their forms, instead of lumping it all in together.
just my 2 cents

All I can do is laugh. America is about the least communist country in the world.

Your nation is filled with lunatics. You should be locked up in padded rooms.

I AM not pro-Communism, but I think any sort of unregulated laissez faire capitalism is a recipe for disaster.

The answer, as is often the case, is not in the extremes, but the middle.

Regulate capitalism, don't stifle growth, but protect and educate the majority with the wealth you create.

I don't get why we even have to waste time with the same old systems that have been proven through history to be wasteful, inefficient for all humans, and to produce mostly negative effects and influences, instead of transitioning to a contemporary system like a Resource Based Economy where every human beings issues are addressed and that in itself is the systems main goal unlike on all the others...

No other system can claim to be able to solve most of humanities problems so effectively. Not a single one...

"Fundamental Transformation" can only go so far in a democratic republic. The masses and their representatives in government would have to be brainwashed to go along with changes (ie "amendments") to their rights - even if sold on the premise that it would "make us safer" (ie, "the war on terrorism"). It would require not just another "9-11" size attack to grease the skids for more draconian legislation but probably something so severe that would require the declaration of martial law (thus suspending the legislature and the civilian judicial system) to carry out. But there are those in the military who (even under martial law) take their oath to uphold the Constitution seriously and then we would likely see a military coup to replace the civilian leadership and attempt to reestablish the republic under its fundamental principles. This would likely lead to civil war tho if such a coup was not an immediate success as the administration would request foreign troops to be brought in to support it. That scenario didn't happen in Cuba because they executed all of the military leaders who would not sign on to the new government but I think that would be hard to do in America where a General can activate a large military force under his command.

If martial law was enacted....and a single general stood up to defy it.....I would pack my bags and find him...

That general would have the support of countless millions....

They would need to get rid of them quick because the level of information swirling in our heads right now mandates we not trust martial law. Not from a runaway government.

If a single military commander voiced concern about the intentions of leadership.....he would have our ears....and many of us by his side.

I would fight for him....against all odds. All he would have to do is ask. We would answer.

That's a total fantasy.

People will ALWAYS try and accumulate wealth and use that wealth, and it's inherent power, to control any system which might either try and control them or potentially generate more wealth for them.

As Chomsky says, (US) Libertarians are advocates for extreme corporate tyranny. Only the very naive don't see his point.

When they keep fanning the flames of hatred and resentment such as when they dehumanize people for instance Rich, corporations and create the condition that led up to a flame up such as we saw with the "protests" of OWS they need to gain enough recognition, and popular opinion to move on with the end goal.

Honestly any "hot topic" can be a catalyst money, race, etc. aren't not all communist, socialist movements not based on charasmatic populist figures.

Who knows look how angry people get when taking about key issues

Is it just me but I see this Chickfila eat-in rally as a stepping stone for something else? I have noticed that since North Carolina has passed the gay divorce ban amendment there has been an upswing in the rhetoric of the right wingers about gay rights...

I see this as a parallel to the tea party movement which was used to reinvigorate the GOP after Bush/Chaney damaged the GOP brand.

could this be one of the catalysts that will be used to divide then conquer the USA?

Interesting article-- thank you.

The more I look around, the more I feel like we are on the verge of something very big happening, politically.

It is exciting, and probably even more-so, scary.

That's what I thought. What is this the 50's? Are we going to start naming the commies again? Stop trying to scare us with communism. It ain't happening.

None the less it was a threat that was used and exploited. Good space race and good science education -- bad Viet Nam and fear. I was one of those kids who had to do the duck and cover thing. I was raised in Omaha and because of the Strategic Air Command was a number one target. The Looking Glass - a bomber that flew and orbit 24 hours a day with a mobile command center could be heard coming and going. We alos live in tornado alley and the air raid sirens sounded just like the storm warnings - never knew if one was going to get blown away or blown up.
Remember the connelrad channel that was marked on every radio dial in cars and homes.

It is not good for a society to live scared.

((Wife gave me that for my fifth wedding anniversary present. Great Wife Splendid car.))

It has been happening since 1913 at least. Obama nationalized GMC, and now claims that "entrepreneurs didn't build their businesses, and it doesn't belong to them"...

Trust me, with everything that is happening we are extremely close to the complete takeover of the U.S.A. by the international socialist/communist/fascist elites.

So what will be the catalyst?

The programed collapse of the economy by the left. Try looking at the policies and objectives of the Trilateral Commission, CFR, AND THE COLLUSION WITH THE GLOBAL BANKING CARTELS.
Seems an irony, that the socalled capitalist financial sector has been the greatest supporter of global socialism, communism,Marxism.

from the 1991 meeting of the Trilateral Commission.
Lead speaker ( who was the CEO of the third largest bank in the world at the time) addressed the commission by stating
"gentlemen, what you have to understand is that these global trade treaty's have little if anything to do with trade, and everything to do with restructuring the global politic".

Forming members of Trilateral Commission were Jimmy Carter, Zbignew Brzeiniski, and David Rockefeller.

Formed in 1973, Carter was elected president in 1976-1980 and drove the nation into a deep recession. Brzeiniski,, a Marxist economic professor, became his National Security Adviser and had a huge influence
on economic policies.
David Rockefeller had been a card carrying Communist back in 40's and 50's.

After the 91 meeting, a reporter asked Rockefeller " sir , your organization (TC) has advocated a one world government since it's inception. What do do have to do to make it happen?

Rockefellers response; "Everything we need is already in place. All we need is one good crisis" (911 anyone???)

Reporter then asked Brzeiniski, "Your plan is a global Socialist order- What makes you think America will ever accept Socialism? His answer- "America will never accept socialism until the middle class is standing in the bread lines".

This diabolical scheme was to use the global financial system to collapse the worlds economy as a tool to blame Capitalism as the cause for all our ills and then substitute their grand delusion of communism.

Now those of you who swallowed the bait, are now hooked. The rest of us have suffered from your grand delusions.

So if you have lost your jobs, seen you retirement accounts evaporate, lost your homes, and been forced into bankruptcy, look at the communist and socialist for the premeditated cause. These are the tactics used by the communists from the beginning.

Anyone remember Nikita Khrushchev's famous speech at the UN where he bragged "we will take over America from the inside out'". Guess what???

You obviously need to study some American history. You could start with William Jennings Bryan's "Cross of Gold Speech." The Federal Reserve resolved the long & often calamitous seesaw in our history between the forces of so-called gold back sound money and pro-growth script currency advocates. Be careful of the past you would schedule as our future.

Also former communists who "wake up" don't really; they just go from being extreme leftists to right wing reactionaries with not even a potty stop in the middle.
