There has been international outrage over the allegations surrounding Guantanamo Bay and the forced incarceration without allowing the suspect any form of defence.
Despite supporting the US in the Iraq conflict and the War on Terror, the United Kingdom was swift to join the rest of the world to condemn the civil right abuses of Guantanamo Bay.
However is the UK as clean cut as it proposes or is it holding "War on Terror" suspects without fair reason? Is Belmarsh the UK's own Guantanamo Bay?

You don't have to go to Cuba to find terror suspects controversially imprisoned. Nine foreigners have been held in London"s Belmarsh Prison for almost three years without charge or trial. So is it the UK's Guantanamo Bay?

The men are being held under anti-terror laws bought in following September 11, which allow the home secretary to detain without trial foreign nationals he suspects of terrorism, but cannot deport because it would endanger their life.

"The men are held in small cells for 22 hours a day, how is that proper treatment?" says Amnesty International.

Although the world is quick to bow to media pressure to condemn America are other countries suppressing their own indiscretions?
Have these detentions in Belmarsh, Guantanamo bay and other institutions we don't yet know about helped reduced the war on terror?

why do we rebel for? Its pointless, in the end you can say what you want and no one will listen, yet we are made to be the bad people.

Look at all the protests before the Iraq war nearly 2 million people protested all around the world, did anyone listen ?

Sure it is...
...but to many non-commentors to this topic thread, Guantanamo Bay is the focal point, the 'end-all', not UK's Belmarsh.
Hmm, then again, is the issue Belmarsh and 'Gitmo' or is it one surrounding the detainees/detentions?
