My Name Is Mike, and I Want To Kill Everyone [APWC]

My name is Mike, and I want to kill everyone.

I have no other purpose than to shed blood.

I am sitting on the top shelf of your closet, hoping your children will come to play with me.

I am owned by a young woman who thinks I can protect her, but I am only there waiting for the moment she is sad because her boyfriend broke up with her, and she wants to use me to paint her brains on the wall.

I am under the counter at your stores, looking for a criminal with evil intentions to find me instead of his knife.

I am in the hands of you soldiers, begging them to use me to murder their friends.

I am in the forest, wanting not the life of the deer, but that of the innocent.

I am in the market, searching for the one person who is insane, telling them to buy me.

I am in a gang members car, laughing at a drive-by.

I am in your history, the cause of all that's bad.

I am in your future, the end of everything.

There is no escape from me.
I am the evilest of evil.
You cannot control me.
There is no exceptions to my rule.
I will kill you all.
It's all I've been made to do.
Death is what I am.
Blood is what I want.

You shall live in fear of the terror I cause.
Not one of you has the power to use me for good.
The world is beyond repair as long as I exist.
My name is Mike, and I want to kill everyone.

I am a gun.

(Just in case it's not obvious, this story was written to be sarcastic.)

Too much power, control, and responsibility has been given to "Mike" here.

I like the sentiment, though.

Simply put,Humanities heart need's to change, not the tool wrongly used to kill.
People will simply find a rock, or a stick, or a steak knife, or a car, or a plane, or their hands, or poison. You get the idea.
Reform, the totality of the human mind, its psyche.

That's pretty much the point of the story. Too many people want to blame an inanimate object for the misdeeds of mankind. As you stated, too much power, control, and responsibility have been given to guns and other weapons, when as an inanimate object, they can have none of those things...They can only exist.

When faced with an insane person intent on killing you it simply is not fun no matter what weapons they have. Whether its a gun, knife, rock, their hands or them trying to bite you.

i have been on the wrong end of a crazy person, regretfully. however, i was able to get out of melee distance. had this person had a gun, my fate may have been a bit different.

yes, most any object can be used to kill... but it is the convenience of death, delivered at a distance, which is most disconcerting to me about a gun as opposed to said sticks and stones.

Mike is pretty weak and useless without his good buddies around, and even they need to be hit on the head to work.

Very poignant, it shows the truth of weapons. Without intent, they are no more harmful than anything else in this world.
