Personal opinion "GOOD FOR THEM" a little deterence might be just what the occupiers of the world need to understand that not everyone is OK with Dictator Obama circling the wagon and hemming in the world under there global, dominantion scheam. So ya good for Russia so sick of there only being one big dog in the world even though they don't have a financial leg to stand on. I for one hope they are never used but if they are there maybe the big bad United States of Amerika might tone down it's war monger rhetoric just a bit.....

I'm sure this is just for the public's knowledge. Unless someone thinks this could have been done without anyone finding out. It would have been better, Russia, to keep the mouth closed if you were really serious about this. Better to have a surprise attack, you know, if possible. You don't tell your enemy the date and time you'll be showing up...or what you'll be bringing with you...unless it's a farce or a lie.

I mean, the whole missile thing is a bit much. Who's not going to fire back if they've been fired upon? One person firing means a domino effect, and the world is then screwed in short order. Then, all the plans they made for domination would be, what? Your life is confined to an underground shelter. You never see the sun, and if you get out one day, everything is a freaking mess that you gotta clean up.

Doesn't sound like something I'd be interested in if I were them.

Hate to throw this out, but the us land based defenses aren't really proven against a real threat yet.... I fear it's very similar to Israel's boasted Iron shield, which failed against some of the cheap crappy missiles fired at them.

Even if it is better, fire a salvo. One Nuke on SRBM, and a whole bunch of cruise missiles or other smaller missiles with a larger heat and or radar signature, and you boost the potential for the system to over look, or miss the actual payload.

Fire SRBM, and escort of smaller missiles, followed by another wave of smaller missiles. These "decoys" could increase your hit probability with the SRBM incredibly.

Other words, low tech solution to make a hit.

If I were Russia I would have nukes there until similar nukes around Russia were removed. Not that I am on their side but it is smart to push back.
