A double standard.

To willingly give your life up (even if to save others or for your god), you are willingly going to your death. This is a form of suicide.

Suicide is considered wrong in the bible and anyone who willingly gives up the gift of life will go to hell.

As it is with all holy books, so it is in the bible. Full of double standards and contradictions.

Double standard? I think you misunderstand.
It is not physical death that is required, just the mental delusion that it is you doing life.
God is doing it all. Let go and let God.

The gift of life is presence. The burden of life is the belief in past and future yous. Humans project themselves into the future to secure themselves life, they hope they will be ok. They totally forget the present (the gift) because they are so concerned with themselves, they miss life because they are fearful. Life is happening now, presently but humans live in time. The person is lost in time and feels this loss physically, they feel there is something missing, they are missing what is real. This present moment is real but humans can't seem to let go of their thoughts, their delusions.
