ONAGAWA, Japan (AP) - The Japanese operator of the nuclear power plant devastated in last year's disasters received a 1 trillion yen ($12.8 billion) bailout Tuesday, putting it under government ownership, while international experts visited another plant that survived the tsunami's impact.So, it sounds like a purchase more than a bailout. My impression is mixed. I think its a good thing that the Japan government realizes that its at fault for not supplying TEPCO with a system to give them advance warning in order to shut down upon orders from the Japan government. On the other hand, I don't like the idea that a government might be taking over such an industry in order to possibly cover up more fault within the government.
