Yeah Phage, the footage is good theater. That's just brilliant. The guy cornered her hard and showed that she had the jurisdiction even though she tried to weasel her way out of it. He is asking about $1 trillion which was on the Fed balance sheet. This thread is about the $9 trillion which was not on the Fed balance sheet. The $1 trillion was not "missing", it was on the balance sheet.


So what about the question? Do you know what a balance sheet is? It is a statement of assets and liabilities. The balance sheet showed an increase in the "worth" of the Fed of some $1 trillion dollars over a year and half. While some of the increase was due to lending, some was due to an increase in other assets. Where did it get the money to loan and to buy other assets? It invented it. They're good at that.

The question of "who got it" really makes no sense. Rather than pointing that out to the Congressman she said; "We have not looked at that specific area." Somewhat uncomfortably because she was probably dying to say, "what on Earth are you talking about, you fool?"

And why would any director be making more money than you? What is it that they do...that deserves millions of dollars worth of bonuses? They go to meetings, and stamp documents. They don't make the world go around...they make money go around...around you but no to you...and you do all the work. Without you...directors would be useless. They don't know how to make sandwiches or operate machinery or produce with their own hands.

But somehow, they are more important than you in this system. You are expendable....

Luckily enough people can see where the money is really going and are starting to shout about it, namely, offshore tax havens hidden from the taxman. Please do not give me the stereotypical response to taxes. We don;t like them but human society has always had them and they are not going to go away so somebody has pay up. If the trillions in offshore accounts is untaxed then the billions of tax due is paid for by the rest of us.

I know what a balance sheet is....and let me put it in simpletons terms...it means they gave away 1 trillion and apparently they don't know to whom...and that is a lie.

The video it self deals with 1 trillion of balance sheet money, and than after 2:00 it goes on to ask about off balance sheet trillions.

So you wanna talk about off balance sheet money? Ok. Can I have my paycheck off my balance sheet please? I don't want it to show how much I'm getting payed.

So please educate me...what does off balance sheet means in your country?...in my country it's called grey economy and is punishable by law.

I know everyone hates the Fed, and trillions of dollars shouldn't be recklessly loaned, etc., but this video isn't really all that impressive. Kinda "gotcha" politics.

First, was the Bloomberg article true? Has it been corrected or amended since it was published?
Second, is he accurately portraying it's contents?
Three, her not knowing something doesn't mean it's true or false. e.g. He says, "are you saying no one in the Fed is monitoring trillions in loses?" She never said that and her not knowing if there is or isn't doesn't mean there isn't.

There's more, but c'mon, this video, like most political videos on YouTube, only helps people spread around political propaganda, unless you know the full context.

No.

QE devalues money. If the FED printed endless money, money would be essentially worthless. But a bit of QE can devalue money a small amount and stop businesses and governments from starving to death from lack of liquidity.

The anti-Fed people say that failing businesses should starve, even though they might not be responsible for their lack of liquidity (bump interest rates repeatedly and it'll eat into profits in theory, for some corps). On top of that, look at the jobs saved (i.e. Money pumped into economy via consumption and tax revenue) by bailing out auto-industry.

Economists are great at explaining how we got screwed, but their also ideologues, when it comes to their prescriptions. Take any economists solutions as wishful thinking, at best.

My guess is that they are using a type of porous rock for a camoflage/filter over their air shafts so they will be hard to find. But if ya find one, maybe someone can try an odorless gas that will take effect before they know what hits em' !

Phage you're not making any sense.

He's not asking where the trillion dollars came from, he knows the Fed made it. He is asking WHO did they lend it to. The government,their banker cronys, or are they holding it...the lady could not answer that.
