I watched the USA vs. North Korea soccer (football) match today, and I specifically remember seeing two separate goals from the USA. Why was the first one not counted, and why was there no mention of it later? I never watch sports, so I'm not up on the rules and whatnot, but something seems wrong here.

Can someone explain why their first goal was not counted?

Nuclear threats from North Korea if goal was given.

I didnt see it..... But most of the time goals are called back for offsides by the offense.

I didn't see it either, but you're right.
When the goal was shot after a corner kick it could have also been a foul by a forward, handball or even offside.

Because they didn't earn that goal themselves, somebody else helped them do it.
