A DARWIN man who shot to fame after lighting a firecracker stuck in his buttocks says his condition is not as bad as people thought.

Thought this was probably the best forum for this story, if you haven't seen it already. Link -

www.news.com.au...

For any Aussies here, this wouldn't come as much of a surprise, seeing this happened in Darwin, where beer rather than water is the preferred method of quenching a thirst.

Of all places, a town/city named Darwin. I got a good laugh when I read that the man's mother thought it was funny.

Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire!

He's not the first to do this and it's sad to say he won't be the last.

As Ron White say's "Stupid is forever!"

Thank You people of the globe, who do oddball things for the entertainment of the masses who are hesitant to do these things themselves.

For those about to explode a percussive instrument in their bums, we salute you.

Hey, Ducky. Would you like to 'pull my cracker'?

News.com.au isn't reputable.

Fireworks are illegal in Australia, so the cops would have busted him.

Adelaide is on the other side of the country from Darwin, which has its own burns unit.

Can not be confirmed if he went to Adelaide

That is according to the Sydney Morning Herald, which is to be trusted more than the News.com.au.

I don't know why I even care about this.

I call total BS anyway.

I believe that fireworks are still legal to buy in the Northern Territory.

Adelaide is probably the closest capital city by air from Darwin.

Yes, there's a lot of rubbish on Murdoch's news site, but this did happen.

Oh dear.. Now News.com.au isn't reputable? I guess unless alex jones is screaming at the helm, nothing is reputable to some.

Oh you know murder is also illegal in Australia. Hmmm.. And it's a lot easier to get firecrackers than get someone whacked.

You are correct, fire crackers are legal in Darwin. They can only be set off on Territory Day, but I've heard of people setting them off all the time anyway.

I will disagree simply because we all know killing some dude is easy.

I'll use this as my second line, but please don't even bother replying, as I'm having a bad day.
