I know all MSM is bias and full of lies. It is this blundering and idiotic fool that sets a standard for the average American to spew lies and crapola to everyone who speaks a single word of reason. His opinion is not welcomed as fact. Though he cops out of responsibility saying he is an opinion guy, he doesn't hesitate to spew inaccurate lies as fact. If you are unfortunate enough to be a guest on his bias and dumb little show, you will be harassed and told to shut up by this bumbling fool if you happen to disagree.

He is not a patriot, since his goal is to subvert the democratic process by dealing in propaganda like a cheap dictatorship would expect. He has the attitude to match that makes his "opinions" actually offensive and sets a bad example for everyone of his viewers. Keeping people dumb is not a sign of honor or good intentions. It is opportunistic and un-American.

This is Oreily bashing, yes it is. He bashes people and in my eyes makes it fair game to stoop to his level.

Bill, screw you. SHUT UP.

1.O'Reilly falsely claimed Bush didn't oppose 9-11 Commission. O'Reilly defended President George W. Bush from a Kerry-Edwards '04 TV ad highlighting Bush's opposition to creation of the 9-11 Commission by denying that Bush had ever opposed the commission. In fact, Bush did oppose the creation of the 9-11 Commission. (10/21/04)

2.O'Reilly falsely claimed Iraq had ricin. O'Reilly responded to a caller to his radio show by defending the Iraq war: "They did have ricin up there in the north -- so why are you discounting that so much?" In fact, the Duelfer report (the final report of the Iraqi Survey Group, led by Charles A. Duelfer, which conducted the search for weapons in Iraq following the U.S.-led invasion) indicates that Iraq did not have ricin. (10/19/04)

3.O'Reilly repeated discredited claims on Iraq-Al Qaeda link. O'Reilly interrupted a former Clinton administration official who tried to correct the record on O'Reilly's claim that terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi constitutes a direct link between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein's Iraq. He also allowed a conservative guest to repeat without challenge other discredited claims about Iraq's supposed involvement in terrorism -- claims O'Reilly has himself cited in the past. (9/27/04)

4.O'Reilly fabricated "Paris Business Review" as source for success of French boycott. O'Reilly falsely claimed "they've lost billions of dollars in France according to 'The Paris Business Review'" due to an American boycott he advocated of French imports. Media Matters for America found no evidence of a publication named "The Paris Business Review." (4/27/04)

5.O'Reilly cited phony stats to argue that taxes on rich are excessive. O'Reilly tried to "blow off" the argument that wealthy Americans ought to pay more taxes by citing phony statistics about the tax burden the rich currently bear. (6/30/04)

6.O'Reilly confused on elementary economics. O'Reilly told a caller on his radio show, "We [the United States] have a trade deficit with everybody, because everybody wants our stuff, and we're not wild about snails" -- indicating that he doesn't know the definition of "trade deficit" and implying that the United States runs a trade surplus with France. In fact, in the first four months of 2004, the United States had a $3 billion trade deficit with France. (6/10/04)

7.O'Reilly doctored quotation to suggest Soros wished his own father dead. During his smear campaign against progressive financier, philanthropist, and political activist George Soros, O'Reilly doctored a 1995 quotation by Soros to make it seem as if Soros wished his own father dead. (6/1/04)

8.O'Reilly questioned if Kennedy would show up to Democratic convention ... as Kennedy spoke behind him. O'Reilly teased an upcoming segment of The O'Reilly Factor, broadcast live from the Democratic National Convention, by saying of convention speaker Senator Edward Kennedy: "When we come back, we'll let you listen to Ted Kennedy for a while, if he shows up." In fact, Kennedy had already shown up and had been speaking for several minutes, as O'Reilly need only have turned around to see. (7/27/04)

9.O'Reilly disparaged Democrats with trifecta of voter falsehoods. In a discussion about what went wrong for Democrats in the November 2 election, O'Reilly claimed that Democrats "lost votes from four years ago"; that "18- to 24[-year-old]s didn't go" to the polls; and that "[c]ommitted Republicans didn't carry the day for the president; independents did." All three claims are false. (11/4/04)

10.O'Reilly on the radio: Three lies, one broadcast. Lie No. 1: Bush tax cuts didn't create the budget deficit. Lie No. 2: "Socialistic" French, Germans, and Canadian governments tax at 80 percent. Lie No. 3: Canadian, British, and French media are "government-controlled," but Italian media is free. (7/7/04)

on his Fox News show, BillO -- incensed by Sen. Tom Coburn's suggestion that Fox News' coverage of the health-care debate was misleading and biased -- tried to claim that no one on Fox had ever suggested that you'll get thrown in jail if you don't buy health insurance.

O'Reilly claimed it three times in the course of the interview, each time with escalating falsity, culminating with the claim that his staff had carefully researched the question and found that no one at Fox had ever said it.

----------------------------

O'Reilly: OK, but can you tell me one person on Fox News, just one, who has told this audience that they'll go to jail if they don't buy health insurance.

O'Reilly: Well, why then was it legitimate to bring in Fox News in the discussion, when, No. 1, you don't know anybody on Fox News -- because there hasn't been anyone -- that said people will go to jail if they don't buy mandatory insurance.

O'Reilly: Well, tell me, what -- because it doesn't happen here. And we researched to find out if anybody on Fox News had ever said you're going to jail if you don't buy health insurance. Nobody's ever said it.

I also want to thank fox and friends for making me think for second that Obama was trying to say that "we didn't build our small businesses" even here on ATS. This is why I am making this thread because they made a jackass out of me until I looked a little deeper and found out that they grossly misquoted him and took Obama´s words out of context...I didn't know they were the source of the misquote being spread everywhere, and eventually here on ATS.

That recently along with other reasons I have are is why I see them and most notably Bill, as a direct threat to the truth and any form of democratic society.

How many people thought Obama was insulting small business?

Yeah, thank people like bill who are not believers in democracy enough to let people diced for themselves during an election so much so that they lie to you. I would say that since their programing is the most viewed that their responsibility and blame for misinforming us is titanic.

He thinks we are so dumb that he has the right to decide for us what we should think.

He is a prime example of everything wrong with journalism as much as Fox "news"

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

So we say to ourselves, ever since the founding of this country, you know what, there are some things we do better together. That’s how we funded the GI Bill. That’s how we created the middle class. That’s how we built the Golden Gate Bridge or the Hoover Dam. That’s how we invented the Internet. That’s how we sent a man to the moon. We rise or fall together as one nation and as one people, and that’s the reason I’m running for president — because I still believe in that idea. You’re not on your own, we’re in this together.” (Emphasis added.)

On TV, Republicans are saying, "those are the words he said, he said those words so it's not a lie to say he said them because he said them." And he did. He also said the other words, which -- when you read them in order -- tell a much different story. If you have a business, you did not build the roads on which your customers drive to get to your store.

You did not build the electrical infrastructure that makes sure your sign lights up. You did not conduct the research that scientists did to create the plastic polymers that are used in the product you sell. THAT is what he was saying. And it's time our American media stopped being so lazy and told the whole story.

Man, it's been years. Thanks for the recap.

Are you familiar with his vintage stuff?

www.youtube.com...

Those are his roots. That is his foundation. Did you expect the fruit to be somehow different?

If you want a real laugh, check out FOX's use of glen beck as a stealth big pharma pimp/anti-cannabis crusader. Beck was doing his Founding Fathers Glory and Worship routine, while simultaneously explaining that 'we were taken to a party and promised we'd be home by 12, but wound up dumped at the doorstep, ashamed, smelling like marijuana , at 4 AM'.

You see, it's all about the climate of conformity they create. It matters not what that climate is, just so THEY CONTROL AND SHAPE IT. After they control it, they can sell us anything.

I never looked at him again. How many must suffer for the huge lie??

I find the best way to kill a troll is to starve him/her.
Billy is just that.
Why post his vids, just let em die.
No advertising is best, and bad press is still press.

yeah... I think that video sums it up. I was going to include it, but I just couldn't watch him any more.

I expect him to be a douchebag. That´s all.

I had to vent a bit and just incase some wondering Googler comes across ATS and has not seen this dumbass for what he is, I thought I should make it a little more convenient for him and less so for Bill.

Then... Why the hell did you just waste so much time on him? I don't waste much time on those that I feel are liars. That seems to work pretty well for me. You should try it!

you know....I had this conversation with my wife today about something else, but related.

If we all did that, have been doing that, nothing changes because he is still a member of the most viewed network in the USA.

We have to adapt. Ignoring them wont make them go away. We need to provide a voice or people like me will be fooled every time we drop the ball and they rush in to make uneducated people vote pirates like Bush into office.

The fact is we need to stick our neck out and talk about the things that concern us. Bars, supermarkets, dinner tables, everywhere. It is not futile. He just talks yet can make people do just about anything.

Is it a sacrifice, sure. People will not like you sometimes and it can be frustrating, but considering the propaganda machine against us, we have to start somewhere.

ignoring them has not worked. Time to change our idea of passive resistance to active resistance.

They dont live and let live. Our country and world is changing before our eyes. That is reason enough to at least know what you think about it all. Even if you just talk about it with your loved ones later. We should be clear.

While I get that by listening to lies, guised as truth, one's calibration can be affected adversely, I think we have a patriotic duty to at least understand why this free land is being destroyed. We should keep as close an eye on them as our stomach will allow.

I gave up viewing mainly by virtue of my dislike of non analog broadcast signal paths, which cannot, this day, even synchronize the head's lips with the silent spread sound spectrum audio. Subliminally, the zionists at the helm are saying: See? we're talking faster than you can EVER comprehend.

The sound is insidious. You can stand right in front of the small monitor screen, with the volume at full power, and struggle to hear it. But you can go 4 rooms away and hear it perfectly, you know? Also, on the crap toshiba digital, you have to stand at right angles to the screen, or the color and brightness vanish. It almost forces you to sit at attention, unlike CRT monitor television devices which were more relaxing, and far less able to fulfill an agenda. I see, too, that the modern sets are completely incapable of reproducing a simple black and white film. The hues vacillate between green and black and green again. It now drains me to monitor the nefarious activities coming from behind the curtain, at OZ. On old sets, with proper sound, I could keep them under observation for hours on end. It was not a waste of time. It was the height of negative awareness, or rather, awareness of negativity.

Now I find that, physically even, I am drained after only a few seconds of television monitoring activities. The message hasn't changed. It's as bad as ever, but the technology is loaded for bear.

O'Reilly, just like Rush or Beck are personalities used to hang advertising on. The demographic they appeal to has been researched and dissected so as to target the types of products that will appeal to conservatives/rightwing, usually older people.

The same thing is done to teens, seniors, college kids etc. Why spend money advertising to people that probably won't buy your product anyway. It's a science. Matching products to programming to population segments.

OReilly is scripted, rehearsed, and marketed just like toothpaste. It may look political but it's about ratings and market shares and ultimately, the money he can make for the production company.

I don't like Bill either. I find his schtick to be abrasive and stupid; just like the people he appeals to.

here is why I think we need to all be a little more than passive aggressive. Have you guys seen the apologists in the other thread about Fox?

well they must think that this sort of behavior is not offensive enough, or not vile enough to give him his due.

When will it be enough....when he is off the air.... and not a second before. Lets make sure he doesnt retire in grace. Lets make sure he runs into some one who knows what he is at least once a week. I dont want to think that he can brag about how dumb we are and how we still invite him to our "white trash BBQs".

watch that and tell me you are over it in case you forgot or have not seen it.

is he off the air...no...so what you are doing is not working. Fox still broadcasts and will effect yet another election..

REMOVE THEIR TOOLS. Tell people exactly why you chose to ignore them. Be as persistent as them or they win by forfeit.

Perhaps some here are not aware that he is a liar. They only know what they've seen and heard.I,myself do not see it as wasted time because this was not posted in a "Rant" thread and this thread is for "discussion of politicians and politically active public figures." I already knew Bill O'Reilly was a smarm and a liar. But what if I didn't already know that? And I see the title of this thread and I read it and now my eyes were opened and there's one less person ignorant in the world?I cannot think of ONE SINGLE THREAD I didn't learn at least ONE thing in.

I have this bad feeling that all of you on here claiming Bill is nothing but a liar think the guy you like to listen to is honest and pure.
As long as The National Enquirer outsells the The Washington Post we are never going to get information from anyone,

Bill like many other hosts gives you facts, it is your inability to define what a fact is that clouds issues,
A fact is nothing more than something believed to be true, It has nothing to do with information being accurate

both sides lie. they all lie for the benefit of their view. Your job as a person is to cut through the lies and find the truth. which is why you should not buy into the left right bs because once you choose a side you are more prone to be bias to your choice... including the lies.

O'reilly gets my irish up and makes want to reach through my TV and smack him.Fox news is just neuro linguistic programming and makes anyone who has different views than them nutjobs, conspiracy nuts you name it.They ask the guest to answer the question then talk over them and never let them make their points and through them off their game,so they are made to look like a fool.So Fox is made to look that they are the champion when nothing was really said no interview really took place just fox talking over their guests and spewing their views.
