This is beyond bad!
This will send us like 200 years back in time. Whenever U mention something about masonic symbolism, people will only respond: Oh, but I´ve seen
the movie...so I know what it´s all about, thank U.
Jerry Bruckheimer sure does a good job, running errands for the elite!

I read about the Templars in the links but I don't see how this relates to Freemasonry.
As for:
"The Knights, a monastic military order formed in 1118, at the end of the First Crusade, with the mandate of protecting Christian pilgrims on route
to the Holy Land, were all but extinct by 1314, when the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, Jacques de Molay, was burned at the stake, by the
order of France?s king, Philip IV. If the story revolves around a treasure belonging to a 14th Century European order, how did those treasures end up
in America 460 years later? Hopefully, the screenwriters have a perfectly acceptable explanation."
The reviewer obviously hasn't done his research. Many good theories have the Templar Navy fleeing to the New World with their treasure.

OK , lets follow the clues then.
1>
Jacques de Molay

2>
secret hiding place for the treasure is encoded on the back of the Declaration of Independence, placed there by none other than the founders of the
United States of America, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin.

3>
clues buried within the symbols on the dollar bill.

4>
a map hidden on the back of the Declaration of Independence.

Now any self respecting Anti Mason will give you a full rundown on these.
However I am lead to belive that Freemasonry is not shown in a bad light in this film.

This looks like a pretty good movie, granted it is a movie, like From Hell, but hay I like Nicholas Cage and it looks rather entertaining. I wonder
how many ideas they took from "Hiram Key"? Unless the "bad guys" are masons, I don't see how this movie will put Freemasonry in a bad light?
Thanks for the heads up I will have to download it when it comes out.

To be cool because of a movie... I want to be cool because of me (making of an after school musical here)... People are never going to equate me with
Nicholas Cage (I have all my hair)...
Pabulum for the masses, a whole new generation of "experts", can't wait for the "Masonic Costume Jewelry" and the private "Illuminati
Parties"... Mirthful Me? No, you can't come in... You're not on the list...
A somewhat related link that I started a while back.

Bill.
I don't understand.
Those points have nothing to do with Freemasonry.
About the only link I can see is that Washington was a Freemason.

Ohboy.
I predict that within 3 weeks of its coming out, we'll have people showing up asking us if it's real and trying to get clues to the "treasure."

Quick!!!!!! Someone start a new thread dealing with the National Treasures and Masons, etc. Someone start out with a question about something they
found and then we can each add our own little post about how we are searching for X or have found Y and make a terrific hoax for the new members that
join after this movie comes out (PS if we mention National Teasure keywords enough it should be able to get a decent ranking in google when people
search for the phrase).
This could be better than the moon-landing.

Bill,
thanks for reporting about this movie. Nicholas Cage usually does a good job and the movies are usually good.
You have to wonder, though, as Hollywood does it's fair share of conspiracy theory movies, how much reality will be in the film.
I just hope for the entertainment value.

Sorry you couldn't sense the sarcasm in my hoax post. Joke sucks when you have to explain it.
Film looks great, I am sure I will see it.

Feels like the key point is missed here...but as IceQueen mentioned this is a disaster...
Why do you all sit and discuss if the film will be "true" to the masons or "not true" ... the soul purpose of the film is to end the talking
within the society
That is:
"lets make a film that gives a nice little fairytale about all thesee whings people are starting to wonder about, lets make up a nice little story
that accually sounds like it is a good thing the nice groups like illuminati, free masons, hexes, churches are doing. They are Protecting us, yes they
are. They are protecting the National Treasure and lets put an end to the truth seeking bitches that are trying to expose us"
So the comment Icequeen made about "putting us back 200 years" i beliveshe ment that by making this pretty little fairytale the big mass (that is
the people living in darkness of the truth) will stop trying to find an explanation to what theese groups are and what they are trying to do.

I have to be honest that I think it is because you speak english as a second language that what you just wrote doesn't make a lick of sense. You want
to try again?
