Maybe it will find one of those lost caves with spanish gold to form its lair, learn to breath fire, and attack the countryside.
We'll have to:
1. Start sacrificing virgins to appease it. (Not too many of them in Colorado)

2. Form a brave band of adventurers to slay the beast.

Umm hello,,NO it wouldnt be like an alligator because alligators and crocs dont exist in Colorado..........Will this reptile survive the winter if it hasnt been found?

Ummmm...they would exist there if it was someone's pet and got loose just like this lizard did...which by the way does not exist in colorado either...
