After reading the better thread covering opening ceremony I have no idea what the op is bragging about.Sounds silly and not worth watching by the sounds of it.

I'm not hopeful that this twee wander down britains national memory lane is ever going to do us justice in what should be a world class event.

And why the hell are the military involved in raising the flag on what should be the greatest ambassador to world peace.
Hardly respectful of the spirit of the olympics.
So what if they are there providing security, if they weren't would they have allowed the CEO of G4S to raise the flag instead?.

well im from australia...my country is listed as australia...and i thought the ceremony was brilliant.

and dont forget us aussies know a thing or two about hosting the olympics. we hosted "the greatest ever" olympics in 2000.

What a crock of crock, real culture came from the 2008 opening ceremony, this is a load of junk some kid threw together last minute and played dizzy rascal to. Seriously, when that came on, i lol'd and turned off the TV, what a joke and an embarrassment for the world.
