In my view she was clearly showing an emotion. Anger or perhaps annoyance. Compare it to this video of her. She smiles and has her neutral face in this one. The face we saw at the ceremony was one I haven't seen before.

www.youtube.com...

I thought the same thing, a friend of mine told me she was always like that though. I was also surprised her entrance was not more festive. I was watching it on NBC and in the commercial break right before she made her entrance they said something along the lines of "next the queen will enter in a way you wont forget." All that and she pretty much just walked in while a choir was singing? lol

She parchuted in with James bond. It was obviously filmed previously though.

So basically - the brits were a backwards people (happy but lost), and then they entered the industrial revolution which was horrible and brought war and pollution and hate. Then the 60's brought about a social awakening and finally all men came together and united and became enlightened once again.

?

I just woke up and im now going over everything we said previously.

England has cruel past of war and the upper class taking advantage of the lower class, way before the industrial revolution.

I noticed them and did think they resembled the pyramid with the all seeing eye as there appeared to be a light at times during the opening at the top of the pyramid.

However they appeared to be used for the lighting and fireworks and I thought maybe their shape had functionality of lighting and firework displays in mind rather than a NWO or ptb symbol on show to the masses.

I am unsure what shaped frame would be best to use in such scenario's.

Seems like quite a party for a country in financial crisis.

I wonder how much all that cost?

too much in my opinion, but the argument is that this will attract multi national investment in britain... basically it's for the chinese and arabs... i had to stop watching when they got the def choir out... a patronising and vulgar display of power... forget UFOs the real issue here is corporate government and the end of municipal institutions. very sad.

Im sorry, how is having a deaf childrens choir sing a vulgar display of power? I thought the choir was beautiful and slightly inspirational.

I believe it cost a staggering £27m that would be somewhere close to $50m

I just thought it was weird when they played the theme song to the Exorcist.

And the "Death" people chasing those kids around during the segment called "Children's Nightmares".

Even the NBC commentator said " I don't know if this is cute or creepy."

I am too... I have a horrible unsettling feeling just from watching this.

Uhuh, sure.
And why are you getting that feeling? It's all in your heads. Some of you actively seek to find bad news everywhere you look. You're entire thought process is about what could go wrong, about the worse case scenarios.
Do you have any joy in your lives?

People were saying the opening ceremony would be the scene of a huge attack. Well, the opening ceremony has come and gone, and nobody attacked it.

So, typically, all these people move on to the next theory of doomsday.

I thought the whole concept of having the supposedly sick children jumping around with doctors and nurses was stupid. I remember the commentator saying, "these children dont look very sick to me." lol. It would have made more sense if the doctors and nurses acted like they had healed them or something. But the whole nightmare scene was a nice foray into British literature and having Mary Poppins save the day, genius in my opinion. But I remember the comment about "I dont know if this is cute or creepy" He was talking about the large inflated baby looking thing, not the nightmare part, it was already over.

I just wanted to point out that J. R. R. Tolkien got shafted as a British children's literary hero. The Olympics ceremony represented Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland), J. M. Barrie (Peter Pan) P. L. Travers (Mary Poppins), and J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) but nope to Tolkien.

Great Britain (not just London) but not including Scotland or Ireland (separate countries even tho they are considered part of "the United Kingdom" which includes all of them with GB).

Scotland is part of Great Britain
As are England and Wales. Northern Ireland is not. We're the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

James Bond has been played by 7 different actors over the years, Daniel Craig has played the role in the last 2 films (and in the forthcoming Skyfall) - but maybe you're a bit behind us in the US?

That was because it was a tribute to the national health service and british famous authers combined. We were told in the uk comentery that this idea came from the fact that the auther of Peter Pan gave all of the money made from the book to great Olmand street. That is why the children are ok. The Charecters were all the baddies from famous british childrens books.

I knew who all the characters were, they are also pretty popular here in the US. I heard the same commentary as well. But I just feel like if your going to have doctors and nurses with kids in sick beds, and its supposed to be a tribute to the healthcare that some type of healing should have been involved. I mean whats the point of even having the kids in hospital beds if they are already ok?

I did think it was really cool that the performers were actual healthcare professionals though, they did really well.
