When that lit up it looked like the final scene from "Race With The Devil"

Okay. THAT ending makes up for any goofy start to the ceremony.

Very well done England. Very well indeed.

Agreed

I Liked the torch, how it spiraled when it was being lit.

I haven't got to watch it yet, sounds cool. I will keep an eye out for the occult symbolism. I kinda know what to look for now after reading this thread. Thanks guys!

For all the Americans who haven't seen this yet and will be watching tonight. I'm not spoiling to say this and it's really important because you'd never assume it.

Unless time changed and this isn't live, there are smooth and very fluid cut scenes and jumping from views like a Hollywood movie. It's very VERY impressive when one considers this isn't a movie and it didn't get weeks of editing and post production sequencing.

They are are doing all this from preplanning and on the fly...
Anyway, if I wasn't watching all this, I'd have assumed it was an edited version from earlier footage...it's not unless this isn't live now at 18:44 Central US time for Post Torch lighting events

@ I mean this as a compliment by the way.... They MUST have cameras all over and around to get all the angles..but I have been looking and I've yet to catch one filming another. VERY impressive on the fly!

See that aerial shot!!!?? The stadium was a MASSIVE eye!!!

Roof lit up, cauldron in the middle as the iris and the stadium floor and the pupil itself! VERY obvious for anyone who caught it

Instead of Sir Paul, I think AC/DC "Thunderstruck" would have been a better song to end on....just my two coppers eh...
