It's not that these results are "hidden" from the public. The problem is that these samples are so old that often times, even with today's technology,
the tests are inconclusive.
Honestly, it would already be so similar to a human's unless it had something crazy, for example, a triple helix (I wish), I doubt they would even be
able to say much more than "we discovered a new subgroup". There's no road map for alien DNA, so it's pretty difficult to say "we performed the test
and it came back 'alien'".
