I find it a bit odd that the US and others would put such harsh sanctions on Cuba for so long. It's really a form of sadism if you ask me. It's
really sick. Mind you under Fedel maybe he wasn't willing to do any business. But under the brother maybe they might start some trading. I wonder if
those boat people still try and make it to the US regularly?
I ti s important to remember that Cuba was part of the US, briefly but true. The reason for the continued embargo is in hopes that the people of Cuba
will tire of being a "backwards" country and rise up against the government, I think that the US government holds grudges for a long time. It
doesn't matter who it hurts, so long as the end goal is met.
