Well, speaking as a Brit, I think he came over as a complete tool yesterday.
As someone has already pointed out, the BBC news- the most watched news channel in the UK- is biased to the right,
The Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation to the right?
Are you sure?

Romney may have had a point. But the statesman, keeps those views to themselves when in the hosts nation. Not embarrass the host nation by blurting them out in a TV interview. Still if that's what you guys want and the best you can offer, who am I to judge.

Funny the same thing can still be said about Obama. And actually folks Romney does have room to talk about the Olympics, he helped with the last one in the states and they had a bomb incident if you recall. So for Romney to express security concerns actually makes some sense.
I ask romney supports all the time why they like him, and only one out of A LOT actually said something to do with policies/ideas. 90% doesnt know what he stands for.
Romney, when asked in an interview with ABC on Friday about the China link, said: "I'm not going to get into the uniform issue. There are big issues associated with the Olympics: the security of the games, the readiness of our athletes, and that's what I'm going to focus on, hopefully when I get to cheer on the people who are going to be supporting and representing our country."

"As for those brilliant folks who question why he should have any opinion on how the Olympics are organized, you are nitwits. He was put in charge of the most recent Olympics in the US in Salt Lake in 2002, and managed to clean up a huge mess of corruption.
Get the facts before you mindlessly bash someone, by doing so, you are no better than the fools you claim to point fingers at!"
You are laughingly clueless and embarrass yourself with your comment. Mitt is not auditioning to be CEO. He is trying to become a president. How a CEO acts and how a president acts are NOT the same, no matter how simpletons like you wish that to be so. There are certain realities called politics and diplomacy that must be artfully managed. Romney went to London and showed he has zero understand of how geopolitics is conducted. If he thinks he can be CEO on a world stage, he will be creamed overseas and will make it very difficult for America to accomplish anything overseas. It may sound dainty and silly, but in world diplomacy, even small gestures are critical as they denote respect or disrespect. Mitt proved as stupid and unprepared as Palin. He could not even take the time to learn the names of those he was meeting...translation to the other citizens being, he does not respect us enough to even get the names right.
Try to think beyond shallow layers.
Another point is that a CEO is a dictator by virtue of how a company functions. A government is a coalition with a structure designed to reward and require deliberation and compromise,

In his book "No Apology" he had nothing too kind to say about England. In fact he dismissed it as entirely irrelevant.
"England is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn't make things that people in the rest of the world want to buy. And if it hadn't been separated from the continent by water, it almost certainly would have been lost to Hitler's ambitions."

Well, there you England - you're just a small island. You don't make anything the rest of the world wants to buy. Your roads are small. Your houses are small. And if it weren't for the English Channel, you'd all be speaking Nazi right now. At least according to Mitt Romney - the guy who was so quick to point out he (and not Obama) can boast of a "common Anglo-Saxon heritage".
ETA: The embarrassing thing about this for Romney, is that he went to England to show off his diplomacy and foreign policy skills. I guess he did - spectacularly. 3 snubs/gaffes in 2 days.edit on 27-7-2012 by Blackmarketeer because: (no reason given)
