Read the grand chessboard. It was written in the mid to late 90's and plays all this middle east stuff accurately. It is a dry read but damn good. It explains the wars over there using the Exxon pipeline and how it has to lay.

Not really, if it has to do with the US's failed relationships around the globe, or their false relationships, or their secret relationships like the one with Al-Qaeda.

You are welcome. If you can't find a MOD, just go up to your OP, under where it says FLAG IT, you can click on ALERT in that box. When the window pops up, you can ask them to move it from there.
