The most impressive of all is that the news that the Russian flotilla of the northern Atlantic, entered the Mediterranean came from the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is unusual for the Russian data.

Its obvious to all and judging that this was posted several minutes ago we can now confirm that the Russian position on this is not just another dog barking behind the fence.

According to analysts the fact that Russia brings together such a large armada of ships LANDING
proves that the Russian government has not ruled out the possibility to land troops on the Syrian coast.

These forces could either contribute to maintaining the Assad government or be used as a bargaining chip for a last-minute solution between Russia and
U.S. to end the rebellion by the establishment of a transitional military government in Damascus, whose composition will be agreed between them and the Assad.

Reading the above quote from the source gives a hint or a theoretical approach to an upcoming meeting between the u.s. and russia as to who is going to control what area and at what price. Since Iran has also joined the talks and as obvious as it is to everyone it had no other choice since it too like russia has invested into Assad's power. If Assad was to leave, it would definitely create a vacuum and seeing what these so called freedom syrian fighters are capable of without remorse then its obvious that Iran will retaliate as having such ruthless group on your borders will leave you and who ever else with no other choice other than to wage a preemptive strike. Oh yes..that preemptive strike word again, funny how that word is going to be used very soon from all sides to justify a slaughter that...to be honest...has been in my opinion overdue in terms of time frame. But i assume that hands on the wall mounted clock have been set for the 9th or 10th month.

Interesting, I almost forgot about Syria because of the Aurora shootings. But someone on ATS was mentioning that this weekend is when things get serious in Damascus, and there is a prophecy about it.

Very highly unlikely, so far the rebels haven't been gaining ground at all. Other then looting towns and cities.

You are correct, but they also haven't used the " someone used chem weapons " card upon the world as they have in the past. I think that is what is going to be used to trigger everything in the sense that if there is some sort of chance to find a diplomatic solution then this card of "chem weapons" is the card to be used to torpedo any such peace talks.

Speaking of wmd's its possible the Russians are sending in forces to safeguard those sites where the weapons are stored. The civil war aside and looking at an external issue several countries have stated they would act if the weapons fall into certains groups hands (Israel by far the loudest, Turkey as well as Jordan have also issued statements concerning the weapons).

I wonder if this might be a way to secure the weapons to prevent their possible theft / use by either government forces or anti government forces.

Just a thought..

A British fleet will also soon be orbiting off of Cyprus as well........is this possibly a counter to the Ruskies?
Though they say that it is to evac brits from several countries should it become nessessary to.
With the firepower now in the med, the Ruskies will be out gunned, out manned and out of luck should SHTF.
I believe they plan to occupy their naval port at tartus and sieze the opportunity to hold it.before the goverments change.

Britain does have 2 naval bases in Cyprus - Dhekelia and Akrotiri.

Its possible they are taking precautions like the Russians did for Tartous...

You're dreaming. The 'prophecy' is nothing but a far fetched tale of a self-centered country that's been brought on its knees by lies of 'greek' grandeur and superiority propagated and proliferated by it's government over the last 250 years - since the country's inception (by the Germans and king Otto). The topic is certainly not the 'injustice done by Turkey' - and it's certainly not the rise of the megalos empire aided by the Russian 'bear' - those days are over.

Speaking of which, the topic is rather the situation in Syria and the mobilization of the Russian navy/army in relation to SYRIA.

Oh, right, so Greece was created by the Germans 250 years ago.

Maybe in your next post you will tell us how modern Greeks are not the descendants of ancient Greeks?

Listen, here, and listen carefully, because I'm fed up with the OP and his crappy site defencenet..

The Greek state, nor nation, have not propagated any "prophecy".

WTF is a megalos empire?

Most of your post is nothing but derogatory and offensive.

Yes, the topic is Syria, yet again another topic created by the OP sourcing a sh#$y site like defencenet which is on par with Debka in terms of being run by insane whackos.
So how about you cut the derogatory remarks and stick to the topic?

As i had posted last year it is the cedar tree nation that is to be the trigger that will begin the bloodbath within the middle east. So much firepower in such a confined space is repeating itself once again as it was with Libya. There is now no doubt that an armed conflict and loss of life is now inevitable. I am no war thread creator but...and i do mean but..the last means of a diplomatic solution to this conflict are almost over. The cedar tree has been targeted and officially tagged allowing us a glimpse as to the level of brutality and the battles that are to commence.

Traffic of foreign ambassador's conducting meetings behind closed doors with high ranking military officials is but the last stage as allies are being informed only with details that have been approved and on a level of "need to know".

Your obviously way way off topic or perhaps you missed history as a subject. But you can fix that. Simply "Google" or even better.... drive or ride or walk to your community library and it might be to your benefit to actually read up on what you have posted. There is nothing wrong with not knowing history, but there is something definitely wrong with what your assumption of history is.

It's not about you or an unrelated prophecy about the rise of 'greece', Syria is the topic. Speaking of which, lets see if we can have a civilized conversation: why do you think the Russians are heading that way?

If you're going to accuse someone of posting off topic try at least to work in a noun and at least one verb from your own topic title into your response. E.g 'Syria', 'Russia', 'troops', 'sailing', 'landing', etc - steer clear of 'I' 'will' 'educate' 'everyone' 'bacause' 'my' 'undersatnind' 'of' 'history' 'is' 'mainstream' 'and' superior'. Your post is rather hypocritical considering the moto Deny ignorance.

Speaking of which, why do you think the Russian ships are sailing to Syria? Surely it's not all about their base. Oil perhaps? Resources? Perhaps it goes deeper than that - perhaps its due to intermarriage and ties to socialism and common ideology (the Baath being a socialist party) and the two countries having common interest in denouncing the western view of 'democracy'?

Dude seriously... have you read your post regarding the inception of Greece, besides the obvious, what you fail to understand is that a Greek or should i say Hellenic's is an idea, it isn't about religion or physical borders.

Peace be with you.

As for grammar skills, well lets say my source of income does not rely on the usage of the english language. But if we talk numbers..now thats were i get horny..numbers..everything in the universe has a number..!
