Why? the PDF document I provided is FROM the UN (UNICEF). It states very clearly what "registration" is.
No, it states there is a registration, and then proceeds to state that the nation where birth is, should not have the option to deny birth
certificates.
Unlike you, I really don't like the UN telling other nations what they "Have" to do. It is the choice of the nation, not the One World Government.

Wrong. The UN treaty is calling for nations to do what the US already does; issue birth certificates to those born with disabilities....you
know....treat them like equal citizens.
So, again, the UN thinks they have the right to force other nations to do things?

No, see above.
Um, yes. It states any person with a disability would be registered as such. Is that registration listed on the BC or somewhere else?

Paranoia without an iota of proof.
Healthy paranoia, hate to say it.
But, I do love that slight, instead of stating where the info will be housed, who will maintain it and what indicating a person has a disability has
anything to do with what the UN should be doing.

Maybe NASA will build a tractor beam and start crashing asteroids into earth....<---this statement holds as much water as yours. Ridiculous, huh?
Yeah, because that is in a UN edict.

This entire topic is much ado about nothing. The US already does EVERYTHING outlined in this UN treaty.
Except registering those with disabilities. Which, neither the UN nor the Govt has any business in.

This treaty is about making sure other nations provide basic human rights to the disabled.
So let those other nations decide and sign this crap. The US needs no part in that.
I do love the irony here. The UN pretending to be for the children, when child trafficking and such is rampant within the UN members.

Believe it or not, there are nations in the UN who do not treat the disabled as equals to their able-bodied citizenry.
Don't really care about those nations and what they do. Unlike you, I am not of the persuasion of forcing other nations to accept this, or democracy.

There are UN nations that do not issue BC to those born with disabilities. There are UN nations that do not give the disabled names at birth (instead,
they are designated as patient xxxxx). There are UN nations that take disabled children away from the parents at birth. This treaty is an attempt to
bring those nations in line with the US "gold standard" of human rights. Nothing more, nothing less.
So, why does the US have to participate again?
I could care less what other nations do. That is their business.
