Has anyone else noticed this? (flag on ATS shows up straight away)

By the way, hitting the subscribe button does the same, just without the flag.
If they want to monitor you here, they would simply go to your profile and lookup your latest posts.

I don't think I've flagged you, but what I will say is that sometimes, if I read a thread and enjoy it but don't know much about the subject, I will flag it without commenting rather than posting a one liner.

There was a thread not too long ago about ATS "Guilty Pleasures".

People admitted all kinds of things. Like being the first to flag.

One liked giving someone their first star.

My first guess wouldn't be an alphabet agency...

I'm going to have to agree with everyone else on here. At any given time there are hundreds of people logged on to ATS. Chances are someone is reading your thread the second you post it up. Maybe the title was enough to make them flag, maybe they just like you, glanced through the thread, or they just felt like being nice.

I guess nothing to worry myself too much over, I just found it a little unsettling that my recent threads gets flagged once without reply pretty much immediately after posting. Almost as if someone was online and there to flag a thread straight away every time

There are two or three posters here on ATS whose posts I read simply because they always provide a well-written summary of events and an insightful analysis. Having forgotten to flag folks before, it is now my habit to flag those authors as I begin reading their posts. Perhaps you have a fan who appreciates your contributions here?
