Is my car haunted?

Early today I brought, on line, a used car, as I was getting fed up with the problems my existing car was having.

Nothing unusual in that.

Having done the deal, and sealed the fate of my existing car, a nice looking MX5 Mk1, with the pop up headlights, I went out to the shops, passing the car which is parked on my driveway.

Still nothing odd.

Returning, 30 or so minutes later, I found the cars headlamps had popped up.

Worse, the battery was flat, although this was no surprise as it was one reason I was fed up with it, so I can not lower them!

So, is my car haunted, can it read minds, is it sentient?

I have often felt it did not like me, a mutual feeling I must admit.

Anyone else had any similar events with their car?

(In 2 years ownership this has never happened before.)

You probably have a short developing some where in the wiring between your switch for the lights and the headlights themselves.

Very unlikely that it is haunted, even more because this was the first time it had happened. It is an older car, after all, a thorough check through the wiring would, more than likely, show you your answer.

Peace!

Here is a famous example of weird events surrounding a car. James Dean's "The Little Bastard"

No doubt you are correct, it is just the timing that is weird. If it had happened yesterday I would have been annoyed but doing it, almost immediately after I buy another car.....that is the weird bit.

Usually shorts and the like, need movement or a change in some-way to promote it to happen. There has been nothing, not even rain.

On a return from France, just after I brought it, a rear tyre deflated. When it was pumped up it stayed inflated till I replaced all 4 tyres. 3 or 4 months later!

I just think it hates me..Haha.

Strange, I live near the forest of Dean..hehe.

Wonder if I can make the weirdness a selling point. Like a haunted house?

Do do do do.......

Well......no but on the other hand?

It has been a rather problematic car from day one.

The previous owner was Welsh....and they are supposed to have strange ways.

I think he was a bit unhappy that he did not get more for it than he did. Cursed maybe?

Haha

That didn't work out so good for the guy that owned Christine!

He sure saved a fortune on autobody and collision repairs though

Not haunted.
Your car, like a woman, is royally p%%%%% at you for looking at another car!

It is called buyer's remorse and a lot of "hauntings" can be attributed to this.

Almost certainly not.

Your battery dies, and your first conclusion as to why it happened was 'ghosts'? Talk about magical thinking.
