Has my avatar been removed or is it a syntax error?

I found an GIF image of a red, breathing gargoyle and posted it as my avatar. I was wondering if it was offensive and removed by the administration or is it due to a syntax error?

Maybe the person that owns the site that you found it on doesnt want remote linking? But you should download it and upload it to your ATS upload space.

Your avatar hasn't been removed by any of the staff members. I think it may be a hosting problem. Whoever is hosting the image may not allow remote linking. You should upload the image to you ATS space and link to that location.

BTW, Can you upload larger images and then reduce the size for the background and main avatar?

I'm still computer illiterate when it comes to these things.

It fits all the rules. Its perfect. Only 17KB...102x151. Fits right in.

Acceptable maximum size for an avatar is 75k and dimensions of160x320. The background image depends on what effect you are looking for.

If you'll right-click on my avatar and look at the properties, you'll see that the URL is:

file:///C:/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/ANIbluskullEyes6C.gif

I can't seem to bring the image up from the ATS files.

P.S. Here's the filename to the ATS uploads. I'm at a loss.

that's not a URL, thats the file name

Nobody can access that....

upload it on www.photobucket.com that will give you a URL

you can then use it as an avatar

Go to the main ATS page. Click �MemberCenter U2U�.



On the left side of the screen you will see �Upload�, click it.



Then �Browse� your computer for the image.



Then copy the renamed file location and paste it in your profile avatar location.

KingLizard...you coulda saved yourself some time by just linking to the Tutorial.
