But in your mind,
I do not believe you are qualified to fathom what is in my mind... see that's the problem with liberal socialist... they think everything belongs to them. even to the point now where they believe others free though is theirs enough to try to correct it to their liking. Sorry to tell you but you are wrong, that is not your business, you didn't build it

god can't be the one who influenced murder. I guess you missed the part in the bible where god commanded (influenced) others to kill every first-born in Egypt? Or do you choose to ignore that?
paybacks are a bitch...

The last time I checked, Dawkins has never taught anything about killing anyone, that part you imagined up in your head.
the Dawkins doctrine teaches other (or better yet) prepares other for slavery and for the State to be the father. You obviously do not understand the British mindset and the reasoning behind their dislike for the Church State?

Richards dislike is even more exposed... he is a failure.

Yet you claim to know what was going through James Holmes head as he was shooting up the theater.
The irony is too strong here.

You have made your mindset very very clear, so yes, I am allowed to know your point of view on the matter because you have made it abundantly clear.

and to expand... God didn't influence anyone, the Israelite's didn't slay the first born like Pharaoh commanded his subordinates to do.

cause and effect... you're not thinking outside the box enough my friend. You can't see how his "teachings" and books can influence kids and adults alike to feel they are insignificant and not special?

let me tell you one thing... Humans are special and every life a universe unto its own.

maybe he thought the movie sucked? ...which it did

Batman has arthritis
cummon!!! he's Batman for Christs sake!!!

Made what abundantly clear? the fact that I believe in a purpose and a reason to life and that there is a higher power and order to the universe?

Exodus 12:12

On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn--both men and animals--and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.

By your logic, this verse influenced every baby murderer that ever lived. It can't just go your way you know.

Well, he was a bit of a flop as a father, lol. And he's pretty terrible at theology when he tries to pretend he understands it. Oh, and he runs away from talking to William Lane Craig after seeing him make mincemeat out of his buddies who try to debate Craig on atheism.

But as a Pied Piper? No, I'd say he's a pretty big success in that arena. And he's made himself a pretty big pile of loot and boosted his ego to almost match his pomposity.

Wish that he could reign in some of the idiots in his movement, though. Like Sam "Torture is acceptable!" Harris. No matter how many times he tries to reposition that, Harris' bankrupt "Moral Landscape" just can't seem to understand that doing evil is evil, no matter how much you want it to be good.

Stop with the jokes, you're not hiding anything. You obviously preach one thing then do the opposite, or in this case do one thing then preach the opposite. Stop being a bigot or troll or both, you're making yourself look like an ass.

huh?

I guess you don't know the story then... how could this influence every baby that was ever murdered?

you brought it up btw...

If Dawkins is an 'indirect mass murderer' because he wrote a few books about why he doesn't think there is a god, then that verse, which supposedly came from the mouth of god, has influenced others to kill babies.

What exactly do you not understand about that? Are you being purposefully ignorant to the obvious or what?

your kung-fu is weak my friend... personally I have no idea what you are talking about but I get a feeling you are failing miserably.

you can't anger me about God via teasing or even disputing his actions... you're not qualified.

it seems I can anger you about your lord though?

sorry to say Dawkins is highly teaseable and disputable, he's a spoiled little brat...

How does that even make sense? Baby murderers in 5000BC were influenced by something that hadn't been written yet? Baby murderers in Fourth Century China were influenced by something they hadn't read? Why does anyone need to be "influenced" to do something?

I have a question for you -- in Sparta, infants that were born and deemed unsuitable for military service were either killed or enslaved. Do you view that behaviour as being moral or immoral?

What do you think? That's a really dumb question, no offense.

What I'm saying is that if that verse hasn't influenced others to kill babies, then how does a book that has nothing to do with killing influence mass murders? It's a ridiculous notion.

Why is this a dumb question?

It's a simple either/or answer. In your opinion, is that behaviour moral or immoral?

Is it not obvious? Immoral.

Well, it's not obvious, unless one subscribes to absolute and objective morality. Without that, one would have to call their behaviour moral, since it was moral to them at the time. They didn't see anything wrong with it (actually, they likely saw it as something of a virtue,) so why should we?

So then the question becomes "why is it immoral? On what do we base our claim that Sparta was immoral in their treatment of babies that the military deemed unsuitable for service?"

Perhaps now more aware of the problem that question poses, you can also switch your initial answer if you like.

Killing babies is immoral no matter when or how or why it was done. If you don't think it's immoral then you have no problem with a man going on a baby killing spree.

Do you think killing babies is immoral?

No one dies without God allowing it. That's one of the duties of God.. giver of life and taker.

Do you get that from scripture, or is that just a personal philosophy of yours?
It looks like what you are describing is god-sanctioned murder, where it is not really God killing anyone, but people killing other people and justifying it by some assumed order or something.
The New Testament I know never brings anything like that up, so it seems to me you never accepted Jesus, otherwise you would think like Jesus rather than some laws you have adopted, not to follow except when it suits your needs.
