That's exactly what trickle-down is. Originally, it was called the "horse and the sparrow" theory.

The theory is that if you shove enough oats into the mouth of a horse, there will be some leftover in it's crap for the sparrows to pick out.

I wonder how these false Republicans would ever get elected at all if they called trickle-down what it actually is.

Yes...There will always be some that forget or don't want to know.

My question is...if Millionaires are no longer Millionaires, but "Job Creators"...and we need to extend the "Bush Era" tax breaks for the "Job Creators"...then where the hell was the Job Creation during the past decade that the "Job Creators" enjoyed the the tax break? Cuz as I remember it...the economic crisis occured AFTER we gave the millionaires every tax advantage possible and then a bailout!

"Job Creators" has got to be one of the most offensive BS Spin words in the world.

A middle class that can afford to buy things....THAT creates demand...When products sell...people hire folks to make more of it. Who the hell hires staff just because they have more money? They hire when their product is selling.

Romney is nothing more than a ringer! He was selected soley for the purpose of assuring Obama a victory. I mean seriously, if Romney is the BEST the right has to offer then our country is definately f#$@%d!!!

Now before anyone wants to beat me up for saying that I want you to think about these next 3 words!

DIVIDE
MANIPULATE
CONTROL

Now look at the history of Romney and Obama and ask yourself one VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION............

Are these two the BEST we have to offer our citizens??????

Keep thinking we have a choice and you will soon be swimming around the bottom of the bowl waiting your turn to fall down the never ending hole folks!

The next time you take on someone whom you THINK is your ADVERSARY think of the above 3 words and ask yourself if this is perhaps why those in charge have gotten us to the point that we are currently in.............

Whoa, back up there a second. Facebook? Facebook is the worst possible example you could possibly pick for a startup that thrived without government handouts. The entire platform that company was founded on would never be possible without the government. More to the point, the single greatest money making engine in history was built, paid for, and donated to the world for free by the US government... the internet. They did not in fact build that. Therefore no internet=no facebook.

President Mitt Romney only needs 270.

The economy is #1 on Americans minds. Rush Limbaugh showed clear evidence that

the Bain Capital attacks have failed miserably. It's all about the economy. Obamas

economic policies have failed. The current GDP rate is only 1.9% and going down.

The USA Q2 GDP rate is projected to be 1.2% at best.

See the Electoral Map for yourself. Mitt Romney is gaining strength everyday!

- USA Today Electoral Map -

Ladies and gentlemen: we have a winner !

Only a capitalist can lead us out of this Obama economic malaise.

President Mitt Romney To Do List:

1- Approve Keystone Pipeline

2- Drill - Baby - Drill - lift the moratorium on offshore oil drilling : $2 a gallon gas

3- Extend the Bush Tax Cuts - Avoid slipping back into a recession

4- Tax Repatriation Holiday - Fortune 500

5- Repeal ObamaCare

6- Repeal Dodd / Frank & CFPB

7- Reform Social Security - Raise retirement age to 67 just like Canada

People are living longer.

I hate to burst your bubble but the fact that Rush Limbaugh is saying that proves that even he doesn't want Romney to win. If he really wanted Romney to win he would be telling all his listeners how bad he is losing! He would be telling them to volunteer to get out the vote.

This election is over and has been for a long time. I don't know why but the Republicans or their masters didn't want to win this one. Obama will coast to a fairly easy victory, and in fact it might even be more lopsided than the last one.

Look at some of the other sites in this thread for real electoral analysis. If you want to go straight to the best source, go to fivethirtyeight.com. Nate Silver, a well respected statistician gives exhaustive detail on his process and methodology. He is very conservative in his estimates and even he gives Obama an 80% chance of winning if the election were held today and 66% chance in November. That means Romney has an 18% chance of winning today and a potential chance of 33% in November.

Like the numbers or not, you can't argue with the disciplined approach he takes to calling these numbers. It's solid math/science.

I don't think these christian republicans realize how progressive they are for voting for the first mainstream NON CHRISTIAN candidate by supporting Romney!

They have given up on their Christian values for politics.

It is time to face reality! Romney has no chance in hell, Obama has no chance in hell! The people are awake and both of these criminals will be sharing a cell! President Paul can and will get us back on track in the next term! Get used to that, PRESIDENT PAUL!!!!

Wow, I agree there is a real swing towards Romney here isnt there? A number of those swing states are really showing a trend to the GOP this year so I wouldnt be surprised at all to see Romney win by a slim margin. The real question here is will congress remain the same or will the Senate change to the GOP as well.

I believe it's much more important that the senate go GOP, maybe something will get done. Maybe Holder will end up in prison. Maybe Little Timmy will end up in prison.

I really enjoy these threads. Please, people, the left/right paradigm is as dead as the horses continuously being beaten by those respective to each side. Each party should have to run its campaign on E-Bay so we can truly see the highest bidder. Or, like Jesse Ventura suggested, each party's members can wear nascar-like jumpsuits with their paying sponsors name on the suit for real transparency. Other than great oratory skills and the ability to be painfully bi-partisan in policy making, Mr Obama has not lived up to many of his promises on many fronts. On the other hand, we have the party of no and perpetual filibustering, and the best they can come up with is Mitt Romney. I have to honestly say that anyone who supports this charlatan is delusional in thinking they are part of the elite crowd or they just can't openly admit how disturbed they are by a leader with black skin. It's like McCain allowing Palin as his sidekick. Anyone who wanted to be president wouldn't touch that fruitcake loser with a 10 foot pole. If I am not mistaken there are more wealthy democraps than republicants, yet someone worth a hundred million dollars or so is suppose to identify with the working poor. Sure. There has not been recently, nor will there be any time soon, any accountability placed on the treasonous bankers. There has not been recently, nor will there be any time in the near future, accountability for the so called patrotic 'mericans who have the ability to keep their money tax free in other countries while those same treasonous bastards give the American public endless rhetoric about our own personal responsibility to our same great nation. I just know that a lot of people are going to be damn disappointed come November, but the victory or loss will be for naught as the train is still headed for the wall. Sooner or later all the creative accounting tricks will be used up and the house of cards will come down. Either way, both party's elected officials will be laughing all the way to bank on their yearly self voted pay increases and free healthcare while the rest of the polarized constituency continues to point fingers at each other allowing the entire charade to continue in perpetual motion. The free market died in 1913 when our gubmint introduced fractional reserve banking and income taxes. At least Ron Paul understands this. I believe that presidents are selected not elected. Any presidential candidate, from either party, worth their salt has gotten nowhere. And globalization has been spun as the way to bring the rest of the world up to our standards when truthfully is has done just the opposite. As Rome burns you can keep beating that dead horse if it makes you feel or think you are superior to everyone else. That's just the way your elected officials and all those overpaid self-important talking heads like it. The ship of the once great American republic has sailed and no electoral epiphany by either party will change things. It's just the way it is until all the endless greed and self appointed closed minded thinking realizes we are painted into a corner and to get out will not be easy. Maybe we will come to unity when the Wall St criminals steal everyone's pensions and retirement money. Maybe not, maybe the polarized sheeple on the left will blame Boosh, and the righties will blame Obama. I am a veteran, and I work in healthcare. Two other things completely out of contol. I hope we will all unite and see the scaming outfit in control of us for what it really is. Until such time the illusion will continue and we'll have those overpaid agenda driven talking heads from both ailes assuring us how corrupt each others opponents really are. Just my two cents worth.

I agree with everything except this..

or they just can't openly admit how disturbed they are by a leader with black skin.

thats a cop out.

you could have just as easily said

"disturbed by Democratic policies"

so people who see that repealing the Glass-Steagall Act was a terrible move hate white people?
was it not Clinton a Democrat who proposed it and Republicans who had the most votes?
155 Democrats and 207 Republicans voted for the measure, while 51 Democrats, 5 Republicans and 1 independent opposed it. Fifteen members did not vote. if your going to blast the corrupt two party system..there is no need to conclude race has anything to do with disapproving on the Presidents direction.. there's enough evidence of sneaky moves on both parties showing very little difference, if any, in their actions. The Republicans are just as much to blame but clearly are not letting their own constituents see the level of involvement..

the Fed cares not what race it enslaves...

only that confusion & debt is piled up from the grave to the sky..

obama is gonna win if everyone seemed to hate bush back when he was going for a second term and he won anyway then obamas got it made

but regardless of which one wins it seems to me the two party system ( face it its a two party system, the liberals are just nice to look at ) does not work at all for the US

they should try the system most countries employ where the have parties from far right to far left
so theres more variety and people can really choose who they want
the two part thing kinda seems like they just dumb-ed politics down

one helps people the other helps business

republican or democrat itll end up in s**t

It's one of the best examples!

Watch the movie: The Social Network and the truth shall be revealed.

Mark Zuckerberg built something out of nothing.

Start Up Capital: $19,000 from fellow Harvard student - Edwardo Saverin

When that ran out more capital was received by Venture Capitalist : Peter Theil

You socialists always have - everything- upside down and backwards.

Look at Facebook today. It's a tremendous success.

It's better to have a corporate capitalist than some loser socialist like Obama

who is currently running away from his own words.

socialism isnt bad at all
i live in chile where the left wing has always won the elections
(except for this past one where a right wing won, mostly because the other candidate sucked)
and our economy is at a point where the world could be in recession and we wouldnt even know it
property value is always going up and even going to be the first south american country declared
first world soon
all under socialist and left win presidents

and you really dont seem to have any arguments to support yourself anymore e.e kinda like a child covering their ears and shouting the same thing over and over again
