I agree. Liberals should stop hating conservatives and Christians.

Christians should stop hating anyone who isn't a Christian.

You know what a Born again Christian told a Jewish friend of mine?
He told him he was going to hell because "his people" helped to put Jesus on the cross.
WTF kind of crap is that.

Maybe if Christians started to act more like Christ there wouldn't be any hate towards Christians.

hetero Conservatives and hetero Christians have the right to Legal Government Marriage.

I graduated high school in 1964 - - same year as the Civil Rights Act.

I've heard all the bigoted excuses before.

The thing is, they are not persecuting gays - they hire them and treat them with the same respect as their other employees. But, they do believe that they should honor God, and close their restaurants on Sundays and follow the Bible's teachings. Dan Cathy was quoted as saying, "We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Really now, what is so wrong with that? What...are we supposed to promote multiple-partner marriage, marriage to children, marriage to animals too? Just because a few nuts demand it? You have to draw the line somewhere.

Well the bible supports multiple marriages so why not? And besides the sabbath is Saturday, and always was until the Vatican decided to change it and the other Christians went along with it.

The thing about Christians is they think they support morality, but the bible is chock full of immorality, buy god and mortal alike.

True morality would be if ye harm none, do what ye will

I don't give a crap about gays or Christians. I support neither. But I do give a crap about other peoples rights to their own opinion and their right to live, love and worship anyway they see fit as long as they are harming no other person in doing so. So let the gay's marry, the Christians annoy, and chicken sandwiches taste great!

That reminds me of this guy posting a letter to Dr Laura.

Dear Dr. Laura

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I
have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that
knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend
the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that
Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other
specific laws and how to follow them.

1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a
pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors.
They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in
Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair
price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in
her period of menstrual cleanliness - Lev.15:19-24. The problem is,
how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.

4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and
female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend
of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can
you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus
35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated
to kill him myself?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than
homosexuality. I don.t agree. Can you settle this?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I
have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading
glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room
here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair
around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.
19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes
me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two
different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing
garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester
blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really
necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town
together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn.t we just burn them to
death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with
their in-laws? (Lev.20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident
you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is
eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan,
Jack

For those who can't understand Equal Rights - - maybe you can understand money.

Money - - the driving factor in our culture today. "Chick" who?

Gay Marriage Produced $259 Million for New York City Economy

By Henry Goldman - Jul 24, 2012

New York City reaped $259 million of economic benefits from same-sex marriages in the first year of the law allowing the practice, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Council Speaker Christine Quinn said.

At least 8,200 gay-marriage licenses were issued, accounting for more than 10 percent of the 75,000 wedding licenses issued in New York City in the past year, Bloomberg and Quinn said in a statement today, citing a survey conducted by NYC & Co., the city’s marketing and tourism office, and the city clerk’s office.

New York became the sixth state to legalize gay marriage last year after Governor Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, signed the measure into law. More than 200,000 guests have since traveled from outside of the city to attend same-sex wedding receptions, and more than 235,000 hotel room nights were booked at an average daily room rate of $275, according to the mayor’s statement.

“Marriage equality has made our city more open, inclusive and free –- and it has also helped to create jobs and support our economy,” Bloomberg said in the statement.

Democrats maybe. But liberals?
Come on.
They are certainly conservative in their views.
More in line with the far right than with the left.

Money is the root of all evil.

Just because something makes money doesn't make it right.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying I'm opposed to gay marriage, I'm against discrimination myself, but Churches have every right to decide who they want to marry and who they don't want to marry and it's wrong to force churches to marry people they don't want to marry. People should go to a church to marry them.

And there is no such thing as a right to marry. It is indeed a special privilege for anyone to be married.

To force a church to marry people they don't want is tantamount to saying that these organizations have no right to say no to me.

And I find that deplorable, and that's why I think it's all about special privileges and not equal rights. It's definately extremely egotistical to say that "nobody has the right to refuse me anything I don't want".

Especially when they will turn it around and say we don't want these kinds of people in our business.

If it's wrong for anybody to refuse them business, then it's wrong for them to discriminate as well.

Which is something they and their supporters never bring up.

That's the funny thing about political groups is they always try to police other groups but they never police their own.

While it['s true that not all liberals are Democrats, many Democrats, even back then, were dominated by liberals.

Liberals are very racist and bigoted people, just as much as conservatives are.

I always say that a persons rights begin where mine end and vice versa.

Why the LGBT community doesn't start a LGBT Church in order to marry people is beyond me.
That would certainly be the best way to fight fire with fire.

And under the constitution the government would have to keep their nose out of LGBT peoples business.

From my 40 years of experience.
I've found that some of the most racist people were republican and conservative.
With the most racist person I've ever met in my life being Mexican of all things.
I guess I've not been around that many hard core liberals.
I'm moderate myself.

Nobody is saying churches should be forced to hold marriages they don't agree with. They already have the right to refuse a marriage for any reason.

I wouldn't want to be married in one of those ugly constructs either way.

I'll be married under the sky, much prettier

Who cares.

Chik Fil A has the right to cater to the clientele they want patronizing their business and to uphold the beliefs they choose. The Henson Co. has a right not to do business with them based on those decisions. Sounds like freedom of speech and choice working quite well to me.
