There's enough anti-gay spin from that site to make me throw up - - a thousand times.

Let's try another version.

Miss Piggy, Kermit Dump Chick-fil-A

BY Neal Broverman - July 23 2012

After Chick-fil-A's CEO confirmed his opposition to gay rights earlier this month, the repercussions keep coming — the latest is an announcement from the Jim Henson Company that they will no longer provide toys for the chicken chain's meals.

The Jim Henson Co., which controls the popular Muppets characters, is severing ties with Chick-fil-A, specifically for Cathy's comments. The company previously provided “Jim Henson Creature Puppets” for Chick-Fil-A kids’ meals.

"The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over 50 years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors. Lisa Henson, our CEO is personally a strong supporter of gay marriage and has directed us to donate the payment we received from Chick-Fil-A to GLAAD."

The owner of Chick Fil A has donated millions of dollars to NOM (National Organization for Marriage) - - - NOM is officially listed as a Hate organization by the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center). NOM is also the core group sponsoring Million Moms who tried to get JC Penney to fire Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman - because she is gay.

I won't be eating there - - ever.

I only ate there once and got do sick from the food I've never been back. If that weren't enough this locks it in for me.

I wont give my money to a company that supports descrimination of any kind

So two different companies, take opposing stances on an issue, and a business tie is severed. Shocking stuff!

I know the Cathy's - live in the same area. I can tell you that they have given more to promote the public good than Henson and Co. will ever do. People who think they are wrong for sticking to their principles are crazy. But heck, if you want to live in a lawless society filled with child pornography, rampant crime and immorality, then keep on persecuting those who stand up for what's right. Oh, yea, you do live in such a society because you've run those people with some sense of right and wrong into the ground...

Muppets are just trying to get publicity and become relevant again... but they are failing.

The thing is, they are not persecuting gays - they hire them and treat them with the same respect as their other employees. But, they do believe that they should honor God, and close their restaurants on Sundays and follow the Bible's teachings. Dan Cathy was quoted as saying, "We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Really now, what is so wrong with that? What...are we supposed to promote multiple-partner marriage, marriage to children, marriage to animals too? Just because a few nuts demand it? You have to draw the line somewhere.

I am tickled beyond belief at the irony of the op and the mindless responses in support of the Henson Co's stance.
MWAHAHAHAHA.
this is just so perfect!
I mean, look at all the muppets that are posting in support lol.
This thread is the best comic relief I have yet found on ats in years. This is great! I started laughing uncontrollably when I read the thread title and just knew that my favorite muppet on ats would be posting her hand puppet dribble. LOL. This is just classic. I will be laughing about this thread for wekks, months, maybe years. Ohhhh the irony! LOL

Jesus-chicken inc wears their religion on their sleeve. Being a private company it can do so if it pleases. As a consumer I can choose NOT to patronize their establishment if I please. Live by the sword - die by the sword

Would you feel the same if they paid millions of dollars to stop inter-racial marriage?

Some how I doubt it.

If the owners of Chick Fil A were smart they'd keep their political views seperate from their financial, like every other smart business out there. Left or Right keep your political views to yourself and enjoy making money off all sides is the smart way to run a business.

Yeah - - - but the scales have tipped in favor of Gay Rights.

Boycotts are having an affect.

Yep gays are so special people that anybody who speaks out against them in any way shape or form are labeled a homophobe or hateful.

I'm so sick of that liberal paradigm. They are no real heroes to the people.

How sad that they think they have to step on people's constitutional rights to protect other people.

Some people understand Equal Rights.

Some people want to blame people for wanting the same rights as every one else.

No they do not understand equal rights.

What they understand is special privileges.

Equal rights mean allowing people to speak their mind even if it is an unpopular or unfortunate or uninformed opinion.

Equal rights mean equal chances, not more special protections.

Liberals and gays think that civil rights apply only to them because they are so very special people.

Legal marriage is a special right?

Then I guess everyone who can legally get one is special.

I will not be supporting any company that would support hate and discrimination.

linky

Back in March, Equality Matters broke the news that Chick-Fil-A had donated more than $1.1 million to anti-LGBT groups between 2003 and 2008, and they've followed up on that story:

Now, new IRS 990 forms reveal that the company donated nearly two million dollars to anti-gay groups in 2009 alone, the most recent year for which public records are available.

The numbers:

WinShape Gave Over $1.7 Million To Anti-Gay Groups. In 2009 alone, WinShape donated $1,733,699 to multiple anti-gay groups:

Marriage & Family Legacy Fund: $994,199
Fellowship Of Christian Athletes: $480,000
National Christian Foundation: $240,000
Focus On The Family: $12,500
Eagle Forum: $5,000
Exodus International: $1,000
Family Research Council: $1,000

It's 2012 and it's time for intolerance and hate to end.

I agree. Liberals should stop hating conservatives and Christians.
