Mods - feel free to move if not in the right forum.

Had this meme jump in my head a few days ago after hearing about Obama's speech saying small business owners 'didn't build that.' I finally got a chance to make it.
Now, in an existential point of view, yes, I understand we are all interconnected. The world would not be anything like it is if it wasn't for EVERY single cause/effect scenario that has ever happened. And it's always happening.

But I don't think that's what Obama meant. He meant that we need to depend on the government and not be proud of our individual success and achievements.

But I think Carl Sagan basically said the same thing, but with the truth and a heart behind it.

I take it you didn't listen to more than a sentence of the speech

Also Einstein would have been better than Sagan.

I think Sagan and Einstein would both agree that that is just a matter of opinion. Not a fact.

Well, well...so Sagan was a believer in a Creator after all:

“If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe.”

He said "create" heheh. Presupposes a creation, no?

I think you're missing that this is meant to be slightly humorous.

Ideologically they are saying the same thing. I agree with the sentiment of Obama's, but disagree with his reasoning/motives. Sagan on the other hand is a badass.

Why you guys so serious all the time?

So, even though they said the SAME THING, Its OK that Sagan said it, but Obama had some other nefarious and socialist meaning... And you have the ability to read his mind and know that, even though he admittedly said the same thing as Sagan, he meant something completely different. Have I got that right?

If you read the whole speech, you KNOW (assuming you have reading comprehension) that what Obama said is exactly the same as what Sagan said... The media and Romney ads have told you what to think, and you're happy to oblige.

Haha. For people without a sense of humor, you're hilarious.
i do not subscribe to Romney or any of the MSM bs.

Yes, call me psychic if you wish, but I have no problem saying that my intuition tells me clear as day that Obamas motives are no where close to as pure as Sagans.
Sagans intention is knowledge.
Obamas is power.

If you cant intuitively feel that i recommend you start listening to and paying attention to the subtle hints the universe and your mind/body are constantly giving you.

Again, this was meant to provide some smiles. That's all.
And even if you didn't smile, at least you made me smile.

And still... they seem to have gotten to you.

In matters of politics, I go by facts, not intuition.

If you cant intuitively feel that ...

I know myself well enough to know that my "intuition" may well be driven by my bias, so I don't usually make decisions about politics based on my intuition. But you go ahead and intuit all you wish.

Again, this was meant to provide some smiles.

Oops. I guess you failed with that one, then.

How could I possibly argue with someone so serious as yourself?

(P.S. There a bajillion 'facts' out there to point to to show that Obama is driven by greed/power/ulterior motives, and Sagan was driven by curiosity/knowledge/love. You do the math, but this post was not meant to delve that deep, good sir. The fact that you are still defending Obama tells me quite a bit about your personal ideology. So...good luck with all of that.)

Oh, and if you aren't smiling like...90% of the time to begin with...guess what: I DIDN'T FAIL. You did.

Have a great day! (< Like, seriously, that's not a joke. Have a good day. Stop taking everything so seriously/analytically for a change. Trust me, I'm not saying never be analytically, it's a great attribute. But like...whoa, you have some serious 'i have to be logical/serious/correct-all-the-time' issues. You'd probably do yourself some good to get outside, breathe some air and reeeeelax. And yes, start listening to your intuition. Even when if comes to politics. If you did, you'd know that BOTH Romney AND Obama are full. of. $#!T.)

Cheers!
