New member here...

Well this is quite an interesting place....I like it a lot. My real name is Keisha, but online, I go by Nehmahati Kerosna, or Kala. I'm originally from Iota, Louisiana (although I doubt any of you know where that is) But I've recently moved to Lakeland, FL. As it suggests in my profile, my area of interest is mainly magik, paranormal, and culture, especially egyptian and Indian (India) culture. I've been active in the paranormal and magik since I was 12, and aware of the paranormal all of my life. I was born with "sight", meaning I've been able to see spirits all of my life. Most of the time I see them as often as I see people. I also have premonition, although it isn't as strong as my sight. There are a great many things that I believe in and study, but my thinking has always been that I do not believe or disbelieve in something unless if I have experienced it in some way myself. I am a very open minded person.
I'm not usually very good at introductions, to tell you the truth...I've actually probably babbled on too much. But I hope to get a chance to converse with some of you on related topics.

I'm sorry to put a downer on things, and I apreciate the warm welcome that I have gotten here, but I just posted something in the cryptology section about vampires, and about six different people jumped my case. Does this happen often? I'm just curious as to if I'm going to have defend what I say everytime I post something. I mean, I was genuinely surprised, since it DOES happen to be a board about CRYPTOLOGY....did I miss something here?

Well, I'll try to explain. Some people are jerks, yes, but they have a valid point. ATS is about intelligent discussion, youa re correct. But intelligent discussion doesn't mean taking everything at face value, it means questioning things and finding the truth. You basically asked "Does anyone else know anything about the Vampire War" dreams. Well, I hate to tell yah, but what you described sounds pretty much like every cheap Vampire story written in the last 30 years. People pointed that out to you, maybe not in the most tactful way possible.

The more information you give us, the more information we can give you. Posting 2 sentences about a dream and a vampire war is going to probably get you the same in response.

I hope I'm not discouraging you from visiting ATS, since your heart is in the right place. But with so many people with so many ideas coming to one place, you're going to have friction.

Well, I appreciate that you've been mature about responding to me. And I can understand what your saying. I was a bit vague, and I know that what I was talking about did sound off, But I guess I need to explain more. I'll be sure to do so....but I just think they could have refrained from insulting me.
