Edit to add: The amazing thing about this thread, is its those outside of america that seem more concerned about this, nearly all of the americans in this thread, seem ok about what happen and seem to support this terrorism on its own people.

Well, to be fair, I think people inside the US understand that we did not have a political action by freedom loving protestors but a mob criminal action by a group of people known for criminal activity. Blocking streets and setting fires to things is not in the tradition of peaceful protest. Several people from the neighborhood have replied in the thread and they have witness extreme examples of group violence from the same people over the years.

Add onto that that the police in that area have devolved into being a bit thuggish themselves and people get hurt.
