I believe Kerry was very strong in this response. That wishy-washy question is quickly going out the window.

He's being assertive, and illustrating exactly what he believes in.

If he keeps this up, Anti-Kerry activists won't have much of a leg to stand on.

I liked bush's statement about populartity but not givingin into peer pressure. This is where bush is good and strong. He has morals! Also the stuff about the Haig is really good in my opinion cause that stuff is a load of crud

BUSH RESPONSE TO #3: They are preparing for elections and freedom in a formerly tyrannized country. We will have a 120,000 new troops trained by end of year. Kerry wants to have a summit but for what? to get support on the wrong war at the wrong time.

Defensive much? I thought for sure he'd try joking a little and put the audience at ease about his last flop. This is supposed to be Bush's strong suit.

BUSH RESPONSE TO #4: He knows decision to take out Saddam, and his decisions concerning Israel (and Arafat) were unpopular. Erupose didn't like that, but it was right. Decision not to go to war crimes court int he Hague where the U.S. soldiers could be brought up on charges was right.

Criticism - Bush: He's too loud. If I had asked the question I would feel like he was yelling at me. He's also getting too defensive. He was doing well at the beginning when he was focusing on Kerry. Now he's defending his positions.

Criticism - Kerry: Needs to let the people know what he his plans are. Why they are better than Bush's. Tell me about you senator.

Which one does Bush use?

Seems to me that Kerry approached this one logically.

His bottom line was this:

If we need to get tough with Iran, we WILL get tough with Iran.

He shows no doubt that his policies will get the job done, whereas Bush's policies will bog down and not accomplish anything, as in Iraq.

Kerry was also hinting at the fact that he would not allow that to happen.

Would someone please tell me how after 12 years of weapons inspectors, Kerry thinks another couple of months would make a difference?

And Rant, I think you are watching this debate with your right eye closed...
