We know that Jesus spoke to the people in parables.

Luke 8:10
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

A spirit of delusion is upon the majority of the people; (including the Christians themselves... for America IS Babylon)

II Thessalonians 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."

No man with his own understanding can unravel these sealed Mysteries of God.
Only God Himself can unlock these Mysteries when it is His will at His time.

Genesis 40
8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
9 And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;
10 And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:
11 And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.
12 And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:
13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
16 When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
17 And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
18 And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:
19 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:
22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Yes and that is why so many people, and they may be very educated, read the bible over and over and still dont get the whole point of it.

It is written in Hebrews 11:6 God rewards those who diligently seek Him.

He doesn't reward us with material things. He rewards us with revelation of Himself and His word.

"He doesn't reward us with material things. He rewards us with revelation of Himself and His word."

Ok I'm going to hell for saying this.... but I'd prefer a big lottery win to a good revelation any day.

And how exactly did he reward those schoolchildren in Beslan when the terrorists took control? with revelations? No, as I recall it was bullets in the back, but maybe it was not God's fault as he was looking the other way at the time (or on vacation)

What's the point of an all-seeing, all-powerful, loving, omnipotent God that does nothing?

I don't know if he exists or not, and I often wish he did, but if we ever get to meet ... I've sure got some questions for him.

Yes that was a horrible thing that happenned to those kids. God grieves along with us. But we can't blame God for what men do. Ultimately it is the evil in the world that causes the bad things to happen.

When the author comes on the stage it will be the end of the play. The end of all bad things once and for all. And He will come. He is just waiting for His people to accept Jesus and when they have come to their fulness He will put an end to this evil world.

Hadn't heard it put like that before, but it occurs to me that the world is getting farther away than ever from accepting Jesus , and so God ending it all looks increasingly unlikely.

And wouldn't stopping evil be a lot easier if God actually intervened down here, like anytime evil raises its head on Earth He puts a stop to it straight away? e.g. killing Hitler with a lightning bolt before the start of World War 2.
That way, everyone knows evil would not be allowed and is pointless, and so everyone on Earth would be happier. That seems to me a better plan than letting it all go horribly wrong and then pulling the plug when humans have reached rock bottom.

Yea that would be one way to do it. But would anyone really take any notice. I think God has put a stop to many evil people but we all have free will, and while Gods enemy is ruler of this world people will continue to choose to do evil because man ultimatly is bad at heart and only wants what is best for themselves and don't care who they hurt to get it.
Gods ways are not our ways He is beyond our comprehension.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
Romans 11:33.

As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one. Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips; Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their ways; And the way of peace they have not known. Romans 3:10-17.
